In The City S1 E2: Lindsay vs. Kenny Explodes & Amanda Moves Out 🏙️💥
Episode 2 dives deeper into the complicated friendships, relationship drama, and life transitions that are shaping the group's move into New York City life.
The episode opens with Lindsay and Andrea getting Botox at Georgina’s, while Amanda continues to feel confident and relieved about her decision to temporarily move out of the apartment she shares with Kyle. At Loverboy HQ, Kyle checks in with Amanda about merchandise and later reveals to friends that Amanda is moving out, though the couple plans to continue "dating" each other while living separately.
Lindsay explores her dating options with longtime friend Gavin at Rocco’s. While she enjoys his energy and admits there's chemistry, the two have never crossed the line romantically. Their lunch takes an awkward turn when Danielle’s ex-boyfriend Robert—who happens to be the restaurant’s head chef—unexpectedly walks up. Lindsay wisely avoids discussing Robert and Danielle's relationship.
Meanwhile, Danielle opens up about her new boyfriend, whose divorce reportedly became contentious once his ex-wife learned about Danielle. Tensions continue to build between Danielle and Lindsay after Lindsay declines a lunch invitation, leaving Danielle feeling rejected and unsure where they stand.
The biggest conflict centers around Lindsay and Kenny. Kenny is still hurt by Lindsay's comments regarding Whitney moving across the country without a ring and feels Gavin failed to support him. Kenny reveals that his mother's Stage 4 cancer diagnosis last year made him emotionally unavailable for a traditional relationship. When Lindsay later attempts to clear the air, the conversation quickly escalates. Kenny accuses her of projecting insecurities and creating drama, while Lindsay insists she's simply curious and trying to get to know people. Neither side walks away feeling understood.
On a more personal note, Lindsay shares that she is currently in mediation with Gemma’s father and making difficult decisions regarding their daughter's future. Georgina offers support and discusses how improving her own co-parenting relationship required putting her children first. Their friendship continues to be one of the most genuine relationships on the show.
At the Welcome to New York party, Andrea introduces his friend Frank as a potential match for Lindsay, and sparks appear to fly immediately. Danielle arrives feeling awkward around Lindsay, while Kyle attempts to encourage Danielle to confront Lindsay directly and move forward.
The episode closes on an emotional note as Amanda and Lindsay go apartment shopping. Amanda admits she hasn't yet discussed the move with her parents. Kyle later calls his mother to explain the situation, leading to an emotional conversation that touches on his family's history with divorce and separation, offering insight into why Amanda's decision is affecting him so deeply.

Kelli (00:01.314)
Hi, welcome to We Wine Whenever, I'm Kelly.
Wendy (00:04.47)
I'm Wendy.
Kelli (00:06.654)
tonight we're gonna talk about in the city season one episode two mothers and milkmen. But before we do that, first we'll do our call to action. please like, subscribe to our YouTube, follow us on Instagram. Thank you to anybody who has already done that. share with your friends all the things. We appreciate it. I did wanna call out, shout out.
To someone who left a voicemail for us on our pod page website, www.wewinewhenever.com. I don't have a name for some reason. We don't have names, but it is someone from she was born in the Bronx, lived in Puerto Rico, and now lives in Orlando. She's a grandma and a great grandma. And she discovered our podcast by accident. And she's very thankful that she did. And we thank you.
for not only listening and watching and supporting us, but for also giving us your feedback. We appreciate it and thank you so much for leaving that voicemail. We enjoyed it.
Wendy (01:12.237)
Yes, we totally appreciate that. and she also mentioned that she agrees with you, Kelly, more so than she agrees with me, which is okay. Like we don't have to all agree. It's totally fine. We're all entitled to our own opinions.
Kelli (01:19.022)
Mm-hmm.
Kelli (01:26.562)
Yes, yes. And I am here for anybody who does not like Teresa. So thank you for that support.
Wendy (01:32.111)
right, she did mention that. Yes, she agrees with Kelly about that. So once we get to New Jersey, she's gonna be on the Kelly train and I'm gonna be on my train, you know, fighting for fighting for the good cause.
Kelli (01:46.747)
Ugh, I'm not looking forward to it at all, but whatever.
Wendy (01:51.12)
So earlier this week I was not around to do the podcast, so Lori and Kelly did it without me. I went to Niagara Falls, Canada with my husband. We were there for five days. We drove from New Jersey. we stopped in New York State first to look at the falls from New York State, and then we stayed in Canada for four nights. It was a wonderful trip. I'm going to be posting some posts on our website so we can kind of see what we did.
I will say this. So Bill and I, my husband and I, we the last time we were in Niagara Falls was in 2001. So it's been twenty-five years. So much has changed in Ontario from when we were there last time. I insisted that we stay on the Canadian side. And I think if I was to go back, I would stay on the New York side this time because I really wasn't that impressed with the Canadian side anymore. It's very, very difficult to park. Parking is a nightmare over there.
I felt like it's not as safe unless you're staying at one of the major brands, which is Hilton, Sheraton, Hyatt, Marriott. And even if you're staying there, they're charging you $50 to $60 a day to park, in addition to your room rate, which is over $300 a night, which is ridiculous. So we wound up finding this really cute boutique hotel, which I love and I would recommend it.
Kelli (03:08.843)
Yeah. Right.
Right. Yeah.
Wendy (03:21.175)
If you're going to stay in Canada, it was called the Sterling Inn and Spa. It used to be, the history of the building is it used to be a dairy factory, and they turned it into a inn and spa. So out front, there's this big milk bottle-shaped structure. Because I was like, what is that? So it's the milk bottle. And they they just incorporated it into this inn and spa. There it was only $18 a day to park.
With our room and it came with breakfast and bed, so every morning they would bring us breakfast, orange juice, eggs, croissants, granola. Very nice, tiny 40-room hotel. Very nice. I totally would recommend it. It was a good value. We did some things like we went to the botanical gardens, we went to the butterfly conservatory.
Kelli (04:03.853)
Mm-hmm.
Wendy (04:13.197)
We saw this the falls from the Canadian side, we saw from the New York side. We went to a bunch of restaurants and I'm gonna post all that on social media, so check it out. I I enjoyed it. We had a great time.
Kelli (04:22.529)
Yeah. Good. I'm glad. Nice to get away. All right. So this episode begins, we're just kind of seeing, you know, where everybody's at. Andrea and Lindsay are at Georgina's office getting their Botox. Kyle is at Loverboy headquarters, which is basically right next door to his condo apartment, whatever. And he goes over there,
Wendy (04:28.461)
Yes.
Wendy (04:49.795)
Right.
Kelli (04:53.133)
It it's kind of weird he's like meeting with his staff and he's like, I kind of want Amanda to weigh in on this merch, which I mean, I guess she's the creative director, whatever title they gave her. So he saunters over to their apartment, but he doesn't really talk to her about the merch. It's basically
Wendy (05:12.729)
Well, they seem like they wanted her opinion. Like they didn't want her to weigh it. They didn't want her opinion.
Kelli (05:15.817)
No, I totally agree. Totally agree. Yeah. So she basically I think that this was just a chance for Kyle to show what a mess their apartment was. But I I do think that part of the mess is the fact that she's packing up and moving out. Like I'm hoping that their apartment doesn't always look like this, but you know, maybe.
Amanda says that she feels good about her decision and she feels lighter. So, then we see Lindsay goes to a place called Rocco's with Gavin and they've known each other for many, many years.
Wendy (05:55.76)
Actually, wait. Before you get there, I just want to mention that I noticed while Kyle was over there talking to Amanda, he's talking to her about like what's going on in the relationship and how he feels. And she's totally ignoring him and just like packing her shoes and not even listening to the words that he's saying so much that then she says, I gotta pack these sneakers in case I need to run away from and he's like, What are you running in like in case I need to run? She goes, What he goes, What are you running from? He she goes, You
I thought that's a little odd. You know, like he he was trying to be like, you know, this is a little weird, like what's gonna be happening? And she was not engaging at all. She was focused on her task and totally dismissing him. And I thought that was rude.
Kelli (06:42.423)
You know, so you know there's a theory online that this is all fake and it's not just coming from me. That this is this is fake for a storyline. and I I'll never be surprised by that. I would never be surprised by that. If it comes out that this is a hundred percent, you know, fake and phony, I I would never put it past Kyle. I think Loverboy was a dying brand and he needed something to resuscitate it. And I also think that Summer House was l losing its luster. We've talked about this.
Wendy (06:48.163)
Okay.
Wendy (06:55.51)
No. No.
Kelli (07:12.025)
it would make sense. It would explain Amanda's behavior on the reunion, lack of remorse, and the way she's being so dismissive with him. Because you're right, she was 100% dismissive. She was dismissive in the summer house this season. Especially that last episode, but I stand by what I said. He was drunk.
Wendy (07:35.917)
Yeah. Yeah, she was.
Kelli (07:41.409)
And if you've already had enough of somebody, if you have the ick, if you get the ick and then this person's trying to talk to you while he's drunk, you're like, Ew, like no. So but it but there is a theory online that this is all fake and it it's not coming from me.
Wendy (07:44.67)
yeah.
Yeah, no, once you get the egg
Wendy (07:57.784)
It could be. No, I mean that's very possible and that would make sense because I I really did not like the way she was treating him when he was trying to kind of talk about their situation and she just was ignoring him and p packing her shoes.
Kelli (08:11.372)
Right. Like I could see Kyle going along with it, Amanda going along with it, and West going along with it. I would think that Sierra would have nothing to do with that if you know what I mean? Like I think that she would be like an innocent victim, really, in the whole thing. but you know, we'll see. so Lindsay is with Gavin at Rocco's and they've known each other for many, many years. she enjoys his vibe, but they have not hooked up.
Wendy (08:23.758)
Right.
Kelli (08:40.959)
I honestly thought Gavin was gay.
No? Nobody else? Anybody? Bueller?
Wendy (08:46.095)
I mean, I listen, we we only got one episode of him, so I wasn't I was kind of not making an opinion yet.
Kelli (08:54.99)
Mm.
Wendy (08:56.387)
You know, I didn't really give it any thought yet at this point.
Kelli (08:59.67)
Yeah. Well then we learn that Kenny is Gavin's best friend and Gavin says Kenny can dish it but he can't take it. like the man hater comment. So they kind of flash back to Kenny and Lindsay's conversation last week.
I mean I did think that Lindsay came in a little hot with that. Yeah.
Wendy (09:19.233)
I did too. And honestly, I don't think Gavin was being a good friend to Kenny. If he's best friends with Kenny and going over there and has his his code to his house, he didn't have his boys back.
Kelli (09:28.855)
Yeah.
Yeah. So Gavin used to stay at Kenny's house all the time. He had the code. And now he does not. They had to put a stop to that. because now we see Kenny and Whitney talking about it in a confessional. And then Whitney tells Kenny that she went for pedicures with Danielle, and Danielle's boyfriend's going through a divorce. And according to Danielle, his divorce and I believe this.
His divorce was amicable until the soon to be ex found out that he was dating Danielle from Summerhouse. I I tend to believe that this is true.
Wendy (10:09.401)
Well, I mean, I think there's a lot about this we don't know because I think that they were newlyweds, him and his wife, when Danielle came into the picture. So I think that could be an issue, you know? I think there was some I I think there was some overlap and she realized it. And that's when it became an issue, whether it was Danielle or not, when she realized that there was an overlap. Right.
Kelli (10:18.967)
Right.
Kelli (10:23.266)
Yeah, like maybe it wasn't amicable.
Kelli (10:29.315)
Right.
Right, no matter who it was. Right. No matter who it was. Yeah. So we're kind of flashing back and forth. And then they go back to Lindsay and Gavin and where they're s the they're sitting at the bar and who walks up but Danielle's ex Robert. He's the head chef there at Rocco's. And Lindsay it's it was funny because Lindsay does try to bring up Danielle and Robert's like, Yeah, I got nothing to say. Like he was not
Wendy (10:59.203)
Yeah, he wasn't engaging.
Kelli (11:01.196)
You could tell he did not want to be on camera. He did not like he was probably very resistant.
Wendy (11:08.751)
I don't blame him. He's not getting paid. He's not getting paid. You don't need this.
Kelli (11:10.018)
I don't blame him either. Exactly. Right. And why would he want to be on a reality TV show talking about his ex who was on a reality TV show? Like everybody formed their opinions. I'm sure he didn't get very good you know, people are crazy. People were probably DMing him some crazy shit and he's like, Yeah, I'm not doing that again.
Wendy (11:19.459)
Yeah, no.
Wendy (11:31.075)
I don't blame him.
Kelli (11:34.337)
So Kenny is definitely feeling salty about Lindsay coming for him and Whitney. you know, about her moving across the country without a ring. And he does feel like Gavin was in on it and he doesn't like it. And he goes on to say that last year his mom was diagnosed with stage four cancer and he didn't feel like he could be in a relationship at that point.
Like that kind of so I guess he was maybe talking to Whitney and then was going through all that and was like, I can't, you know, w which totally, totally makes sense.
Wendy (12:11.885)
It makes sense. Yes, no, it definitely does. It definitely does. If Gavin's his friend, Gavin should have had his back. Gavin should have had his back. I think Gavin was wrong in this whole situation.
Kelli (12:15.82)
I mean, you know, that's that's a lot. That's heavy.
Kelli (12:24.206)
I do too. I do think that, you know, it's it's gonna be the same thing, and I hate to bring it back to Jersey, but it's gonna be the same thing where people think that if they become Teresa's friend, they're safe on the show. Like Gavin might have not that this is the type of show that's gonna be recasting, but
I'm just saying, like maybe he felt like, Well, Lindsay's like an O G of reality TV, so let me just get get in there with her. You know, nobody knows can he.
Wendy (12:58.831)
I mean it's that is that's a very possible, you know, scenario. I I don't think that you're wrong with that, to be honest with you. Because I think Lindsay was the driving force in this. I think she's the one who wanted this and she's the one who went to fight for it. Because she's the smart one. To be honest with you. Yeah, she's the smart one.
Kelli (13:11.722)
yeah, I think they Yeah, I think they built the show around her. Well, it is interesting like we are interested in these people, some more than others, and why wouldn't we wanna see if we like them on reality TV, we like them on reality TV. So why wouldn't we wanna see them all year round?
Wendy (13:28.503)
Right, right.
Yes, exactly.
Kelli (13:32.714)
Or, you know, other times than just the summer.
So Georgina brings her daughter to Lindsay's house for a play date. And Lindsay says she's very thankful for Georgina. I listen, mark my words, Georgina is the breakout star of this show. Cause she's kooky. And I we love kooky. Yep.
Wendy (13:46.287)
I really like Georgina a lot. I really like her.
Wendy (13:55.79)
like her. Yeah, we do like you. And she's I mean, she's smart, she's beautiful, she's I mean she's a dermatologist. She's got her own practice. Like she's a she's a boss bitch. I'm sorry. I like her a lot. I like her a lot.
Kelli (14:07.212)
Yep. yeah. She's gonna be the breakout star here. and then we find out that Lindsay's in mediation with Gemma's dad, and she says it's been a roller coaster because they're making decisions for their entire future. So I found this interesting and I actually thought it was very smart. Like it's almost like precautionary what they're doing. Like, why wait until something comes up that can spark an argument? Like let's
decide now as much as we can. And then of course there's going to be some roadblocks, but I I think that that's so smart.
Wendy (14:38.361)
Right.
Right. Especially considering they weren't married. And you know what it reminded me of? You know, Lala never really spoke with the details, but her and her ex were never married either, and they have a child together. And the whole thing about the whole figuring out the custody and the child's portion of it was a big deal. And one of the things Lala always said is that she wants to make sure that she has decision making power.
That she is a decision maker and I'm sure Lindsay is going for the exact same thing. As a mom, you wanna be the decision maker. You wanna have that final say. If there's a disagreement, you wanna be the one who's making the final decision.
Kelli (15:23.01)
Yeah. So I was listening to Heather McDonald, Juicy Scoop, and Brandy and Julie were on. And I don't know. I don't ever know who's who. I really have to look it up. It's hard to tell. But one of them was like, listen, this is why Lala, like, do it like Lala. She's so smart to have that second baby all on her own. She does not have to. Yes. Like
Wendy (15:29.113)
Uh-huh.
Wendy (15:32.919)
It's hard to tell. No, it's hard to tell when you're just hearing them.
Wendy (15:48.813)
Yes, that's why she did it.
Kelli (15:52.781)
This is so smart. She doesn't have to discuss anything with anybody with Sosa. Nobody. Yeah. It's yeah. So Georgina says that her relationship with her ex is better now than it was, because she put aside her hatred for the good of her children. So
Wendy (15:59.31)
Right. Nobody. It's all hers. It's true.
Wendy (16:12.961)
Listen, I mean she had a lot of reason, it sounds to me like I mean he left her when she was thirty weeks pregnant with a toddler. I mean, what kind of douche are you?
Kelli (16:19.308)
What a jerk. yes, exactly. Like who is this guy? Let's find out. Although we're not gonna DM him anything crazy, nothing like that. I just wanna see what he looks like though.
Wendy (16:25.687)
Yeah, yeah.
No. No, no. But
Kelli (16:33.966)
now the boys are back at the garret. So it's Kenny, Gavin, Andrea, Kyle, and Nick, who is married to, I keep forgetting her name, but Lindsay's friend's friend with the dark hair who went to California for a couple of days and Nick didn't realize. Yvonne? Yvonne, yeah. Kenny says it's difficult to get Whitney to become friends with a group of girls when one is trying to cause drama. So is.
Wendy (16:48.207)
Іван
Yvan. Yvan.
Kelli (17:03.906)
basically saying that what you know, Lindsay's trying to cause drama from her conversation last week and now I guess Whitney feels a certain way about it, which I don't blame her, but he's also feeding into it, which is giving it life.
If he d like he's c he's playing into the drama too. Cause he c he could have just shut it down and been like, you what, Lindsay? You're absolutely right. But we're just gonna do this and we're gonna hope for the best and you know, we love each other and we're gonna make it work. Boom. Done. He's giving it light by life by pursuing this kind of beef with her, I feel like.
Wendy (17:49.52)
So I I w I think that Lindsay came in a little hard about that whole situation. I don't really think it was her place. I understand she said she was, you know, coming from the point of Whitney and making sure, like just saying that that's a bold move and kind of saying you must be a really good guy that she's making this bold move. But then when they have the conversation later on in the episode, you know, I feel like Lindsay was just not
Kelli (17:54.829)
Yeah.
Kelli (18:02.478)
Mm-hmm.
Wendy (18:18.969)
budging at all and was being more aggressive about the whole situation. Not that he was budging either. I feel like it was just a pissing match at that point to be quite honest with you.
Kelli (18:30.9)
It was. That's why I'm saying, like, if he would have from the jump been like, nah, no, you you know what, Lindsay? You're absolutely right. That's a big move for her to make. And I appreciate her making that move. And we're just, you know, we're gonna we're gonna do this and we're gonna see where it goes and we're gonna hope for the best and like just be done with it. But now him bringing it to the guys at guys' night and they're gonna bring it back to Lindsay, like this is now this is what the
This is what the season's gonna be about. Now it's a thing. No, come on. This is stupid.
Wendy (18:59.341)
Now it's a thing. Right. Like I don't wanna talk about this. Right. I don't want to talk about this all season. No. No, it is stupid because I'm sure there's other things that are good that we can be talking about.
Kelli (19:10.164)
Exactly. Exactly. And and can like you said, like Kenny thinks that Gavin should have had his back more and not Lindsay's. And you said it. And you're right. You're absolutely right. Kyle says, like, like Andrea says that like Lexi and Whitney get along very well, and Kenny's like, yeah. And Kyle's like, Amanda's not really in the headspace to be you know becoming new friends with people. And yeah, and I think
Wendy (19:12.111)
Yeah.
Wendy (19:35.235)
Getting new friends, right.
Kelli (19:37.706)
you know, that's that's justified and Kenny knows. So then we see Lexi and Whitney are at lunch together and all these fire trucks show up. They like could barely even talk to each other. That was crazy, wasn't it?
Wendy (19:47.543)
I know. That was crazy.
Kelli (19:53.135)
they didn't really talk about much though. I guess they kinda you know, they pr you know, they talked about the Lindsay thing or whatever. It was kinda like a
Wendy (20:03.551)
What about Andrea getting Botox in the elevens, not knowing what the elevens are, and then Lindsay out in car Kyle for getting Botox? And then Andrea is saying, Well, he's nine years older than me and she's like, yeah, you're right. W What were your thoughts on that? And I was like, Wait, what?
Kelli (20:18.286)
Well, my thought is that when Andy said that everybody thinks Kyle looks so young and he says that his regimen is using free products that are sent to him, well what about the Botox you're getting? Like liar liar. whatever.
Wendy (20:31.747)
Right.
Wendy (20:35.406)
Right.
Kelli (20:40.216)
So then we see everybody's getting ready. Kenny is throwing Whitney a welcome to New York party. And Owen and Danielle are talking about how she's feeling since Lindsay basically turned her down for a lunch. And she said it's awkward, but we'll figure it out. Amanda shows up at the party with Katie.
and this is where I believe we find out that Katie is Amanda's like childhood friend, basically. And Amanda tells Lindsay at the party that she's moving out, but it's going to be temporary and they're gonna date each other. So I think that it's just interesting how we're watching all you know these shows at the same time because
Remember at the beginning of the reunion when Lindsay's in her confessional and Kyle goes in and they read the statement and Lindsay's immediate reaction is that's not true. That's not what happened. That's not what this is. Because here Amanda is telling her it's temporary, we're gonna date each other. Now this had to be in the fall. You know, so
Wendy (21:43.171)
Yeah.
Wendy (21:51.405)
Yeah, it was in September they started filming. Yeah.
Kelli (21:54.381)
Yeah. So I don't think it's gonna turn out that they're gonna date each other.
Wendy (22:00.963)
I don't think so either. And at that point she hadn't even told her mother, her family.
Kelli (22:06.465)
Yeah, that's why.
Wendy (22:08.419)
Right? I thought that was crazy. You make that big decision after ten years. You've never lived on your own before. And then you make this decision to move out and you don't have a conversation.
Kelli (22:09.635)
Yeah.
Yeah.
Kelli (22:21.994)
understand why she's saying she never lived on her own before because when they when this when Summerhouse first started, she lived in the city. So did she she must have had a roommate then? She didn't live with Kyle yet 'cause they had just started dating. But she lived in the city. So maybe she had a roommate.
Wendy (22:32.451)
She no, she didn't. She didn't live with Kyle. She must have had a roommate.
Kelli (22:42.498)
Yeah, I don't know. Andrea brings his friend Frank to the party. and he's a little surprised for Lindsay. And Frank was cute. Frank was very cute, I thought.
Wendy (22:50.871)
Yeah. I did too.
Kelli (22:54.294)
Yeah. And Lindsay thinks he's very hot. She tells him about Gemma. She's very up front. And then she w excuses herself and needs to go check her breath.
Wendy (23:05.346)
my god, that was so funny.
Kelli (23:07.402)
She's like, I'm drinking an espresso martini. I ate something. Like, and who'd she asked? Was it Amanda? Yvonne, maybe. She's No, you're good. You're good. Danielle and Owen arrive and Lindsay says hi to Danielle. And Danielle thinks Lindsay's being cold as ice. Well, she doesn't want to talk to you, Danielle. I think she made it kind of clear, right? Like, you're lucky she said hi.
Wendy (23:14.809)
Think you've on.
Yeah.
Kelli (23:37.036)
I mean, I don't necessarily agree with Lindsay and her icing Danielle out. I don't think that there's a chance in hell that Lindsay wanted her on this show and I think producers did her dirty by putting Danielle on the show.
Wendy (23:48.534)
Yeah, I think that whole situation is very awkward every time they have an encounter. I mean, it was a it was it's awkward. It's definitely awkward. And why would I dunno. I guess the producers thought, you know what? She's gonna make good TV. She's sleeping with a married man, her and Lindsay aren't getting along. I mean, she has a connection to these people and she does. So it's gonna make for good TV.
Kelli (23:58.306)
It's very awkward.
Kelli (24:12.268)
Yep. Yeah.
Right, right.
Kenny gives a nice speech about Whitney. Georgina, what she says something else about her son and the color green, and that's when it hit me. This chick is the breakout star of this show, and especially if she keeps talking about her son and the color green. What did she say about the color green? We already knew that he he colored his.
Wendy (24:31.954)
my gosh.
Wendy (24:40.861)
my gosh.
Well,
He he painted on the wall and he did it blue because his favorite color is green. He painted on the wall a picture of his penis.
Kelli (24:51.03)
Right. Right.
Kelli (24:56.546)
But I think he didn't he c yeah, it was something like that. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Wendy (25:01.527)
Yeah, but his favorite color's green, so why would he do it in blue? We all know his favorite color's green. And then she goes on to say it again that his favorite color is green and I was like, my gosh, I love her
Kelli (25:10.892)
Yeah, like seriously, she's great. I love her too. And the fact that she's like a dermatologist, like she's not like like not to be mean, but she's not like Teresa where she's like just some, you know, chick trying to think she's being funny by being an airhead. Like she's actually an accomplished woman.
Wendy (25:26.797)
Right. Right. And she said how she had to laser hair remove her legs 'cause she didn't have a razor.
Kelli (25:33.411)
What?
Wendy (25:34.703)
This is great. I want to be your friend.
Kelli (25:36.783)
Me too. Me too. So Kyle pulls Danielle aside and says she should just confront Lindsay and move on. But then he goes on to say that Lindsay has some opinions about Danielle's behavior. He doesn't want to use the word slut. He says something but he does, and then he says something about boy crazy. And Danielle is pissed.
Wendy (25:58.106)
But he does
Kelli (26:06.922)
And listen, I don't blame her either. Now we haven't witnessed Lindsay saying any of this. This is all coming from Kyle, but we all have a past. We were all single at one point in our lives. How we choose or chose to spend that single hood is our own personal.
You know.
Wendy (26:34.659)
I agree. I totally agree.
Kelli (26:37.612)
Decision. Couldn't think of the word. I don't think anybody should be no, I don't think anybody should be judging anybody, certainly not using the word slut. That's terrible. I mean boy crazy's a little bit better, but still, I mean Lindsay shouldn't be saying that about anybody. Nobody should be saying that about anybody.
Wendy (26:39.149)
Yeah. I don't think Kyle was using his head.
Wendy (26:59.661)
Lindsay said that because they cut to where Lindsay said about Danielle giving Carl the hand job. And that's what this all goes back to, right? So
Kelli (27:08.61)
Right, right. Yeah, so we didn't witness Lindsay saying anything that Kyle was alluding she said. Yeah. So this is gonna that's gonna be interesting the way that she I mean, obviously we know Lindsay and Kyle are fine because we saw them on the reunion for Summer House, which was taped after in the city, but whatever. so then Lindsay pulls Kenny aside and she said that she heard that he felt grilled by her. And he owns up to it. He basically says, Yeah.
Wendy (27:15.584)
No, no.
Kelli (27:39.03)
she says she's just a curious person and just wants to get to know people. And I think that to a certain point that's true with Lindsay. but Kenny's like, yeah, yeah, I don't Kenny's like, yeah, no, I don't I'm not buying that. I'm not buying that at all. And now Lindsay's activated.
Wendy (27:48.281)
I do too, to a certain point.
Wendy (27:59.632)
that's that's the word. That's it. That's exactly what it was. Mm-hmm.
Kelli (28:01.794)
That was it. That was it. That set her off. Kenny says he thinks she's projecting hi her insecurities onto him. she thinks he's judging her, but he's really just pointing out hypocrisy on her part, I think.
Wendy (28:21.73)
I agree.
Kelli (28:23.966)
And and she's really like she's really on one now.
Wendy (28:27.821)
It no, it didn't go well. This conversation did not go well.
Kelli (28:31.22)
Not at all. Amanda's telling Whitney that Lindsay's trying to protect her. I mean, that might be true if Lindsay knew who the fuck Whitney was, but she doesn't. Kenny thinks that Lindsay's just trying to start drama.
So the conversation didn't end well. I mean, there's definitely heavy beef now.
Wendy (28:49.699)
No, it didn't
It didn't end well, but I will say when I saw some of the coming attractions, it sounds like other people are talking to Whitney and Whitney is saying that if he doesn't do what he said he's gonna do, then I will leave as quickly as I came. So it may be that Lindsay was on to something, which is why it was such a sore subject for both Kenny and Whitney, but I don't know. That's just my guess.
Kelli (29:07.052)
Yeah.
Kelli (29:10.54)
Yes.
Kelli (29:16.898)
Right. Right.
Wendy (29:18.677)
I do s I do agree that Lindsay came in hard. I don't think it was her place to s to do that. But, you know, that's who Lindsay is. That's who she is.
Kelli (29:27.468)
Yeah. Absolutely. So Lindsay and Amanda go apartment shopping. Lindsay asks her if she's talked to her parents. And I was thinking the same thing and she says no. and then this was hard to watch. Kyle calls his mom and he has been honest with her and telling her what's going on with he and Amanda.
Wendy (29:47.523)
Kelli (29:52.185)
But he then star tells her that Amanda's out apartment shopping and she starts to cry. And what's interesting is that his mom said that his dad was in a 10 year marriage, unhappy, with two other kids, and then left. And then he met and then he met Kyle's mom. So that's interesting. We didn't know that. But then they did the flashbacks and they really looked like babies. Like Tess was sitting there and she was like, my God. Like, especially Amanda. Like, of course, Kyle looks younger.
Wendy (30:11.961)
No, we didn't.
Kelli (30:21.464)
But Amanda was twenty five. Like she literally looks like a baby in those flashbacks.
Wendy (30:27.075)
Mm-hmm.
Kelli (30:29.208)
So that was hard. It it was hard to see him have that conversation with his mom 'cause you could tell like his mom was d you know, that wasn't like a produced scene. Like she did not know. She did not know that that was coming.
Wendy (30:43.273)
No, I don't think she did. That was a real reaction.
Kelli (30:45.112)
Yeah.
Real reaction for sure. For sure. I'm sure they love Amanda though. I'm sure they love her.
Wendy (30:50.113)
And as a mom, I would have the exact same reaction. You know, whether you like her or not, you know what I mean? Whether you Yeah, but yeah, but even if they didn't, to be quite honest with you, the fact that your son loves her and he's going through this, like that's hard. You're only as happy as your least happy child. I say that all the time, and I a hundred percent believe that.
Kelli (31:01.623)
Right.
Kelli (31:07.971)
Right.
Kelli (31:13.1)
All the time, yeah. Absolutely. Absolutely. I mean you you just carry their emotions. You carry their emotions.
Yeah, so that's basically it.
Wendy (31:29.037)
Yeah, I think it's gonna be a good season because from what it looks like, there's a lot going on. And I like the I like this in the city. I like a more mature group of people. and one of the things that we do find out too is about Lindsay and Yv Yvonne that, you know, they've been friends for a long time and they were both I you know, I knew that she was in PR, but I didn't realize that she was like the one, the two of them were like the ones opening up all these new clubs and
Kelli (31:58.189)
Yes.
Wendy (31:59.448)
And that's how they were in the mix. And you know, she now ha you know, Lindsay now has a child and it's not that easy for her to go drop everything and go out and drink. And her friend doesn't get that.
Kelli (32:02.157)
Yeah.
Kelli (32:09.9)
No. I like when they do those. Yeah. No, it's funny though when they they show that and she's like, I have a baby. Like 'cause so Yvonne is like still living that lifestyle.
Wendy (32:17.464)
Right.
Wendy (32:21.079)
Right. I mean so much so that she left and you know, her husband didn't even know.
Kelli (32:22.731)
Yeah.
Kelli (32:27.062)
Right, right. That's so crazy.
Wendy (32:28.761)
Which I listen, I don't think this is gonna I don't think this is gonna end well for them. I'm just gonna put that out there. I don't think this is gonna end well.
Kelli (32:34.742)
Yeah. Yeah. I don't have very high hopes.
Wendy (32:40.151)
I don't either. But anything else?
Kelli (32:40.352)
At all. Yeah.
No, that's it for in the city. So we're love we like it though. We're watching. I don't think it's getting very great reviews right now. But we'll see how the yeah, but we'll see how the the season shakes out.
Wendy (32:47.567)
All right.
Wendy (32:52.848)
that's too bad.
Wendy (32:58.457)
Okay.
Kelli (32:59.606)
Yep. But thank you for watching and listening.
Wendy (33:01.155)
Well, thank you for watching.
Bye.
Kelli (33:06.339)
Bye.
