RHOSLC Greek Tragedy or Group Therapy Gone Wrong?

RHOSLC Season 6 Episode 16 Sisters of Salt a Greek Tragedy

The RHOSLC Season 6 finale, “Sisters of Salt, A Greek Tragedy,” opens with ritualistic visuals—white robes, masks, and an ominous “12 hours earlier”—setting the stage for what becomes one of the most emotionally chaotic finales in franchise history. As the women settle into Greece, Angie reveals she’s commissioned a playwright, Stella, to write a play inspired by the group. The ladies describe themselves with varying levels of self-awareness, while underlying tensions simmer, particularly surrounding Meredith’s behavior. Bronwyn reveals Meredith has been privately texting her, expressing paranoia that the group is “out to get her,” while simultaneously denying those conversations when confronted—fueling accusations of manipulation and emotional dishonesty.

As the trip continues, Angie reconnects with her Greek roots, sharing painful family history involving war, loss, and migration, providing one of the episode’s few grounded moments. Meanwhile, fractures deepen: Bronwyn confronts Meredith directly, accusing her of using her loyalty against others and ultimately cutting ties. The mood grows heavier on the sprinter van, where Meredith retreats into icy silence, while the rest of the group questions her credibility. By the time they arrive at a remote, haunted-looking location for the play, the group is emotionally primed for destruction rather than healing.

The theatrical performance, The Sisters of Salt, becomes a brutal mirror—less Greek tragedy, more emotional firing squad. One by one, the women are “roasted” for their perceived flaws, culminating in accusations of betrayal, emotional walls, and performative vulnerability. The fallout is immediate: tears, walk-offs, and final confrontations. Meredith exits after being told the group is worried she’s spiraling, while Bronwyn delivers a final blow by referencing rumors about Seth. As the episode closes, the women reflect on fractured relationships, personal growth, and unresolved pain—leaving viewers with lingering questions about authenticity, loyalty, and whether Meredith has ever truly let the audience see her real life.

KELLI (00:01.592)
Hi, welcome to Be One Whenever, I'm Kelly.

We Wine Whenever (00:04.14)
And I'm Lori.

KELLI (00:06.222)
We're gonna recap Real Housewives of Salt Lake City tonight season 6 episode 16. It's the season finale Before we do that. I just want to congratulate Gina Kirshenheier From Real Housewives of OC she got engaged to her longtime boyfriend Travis

We Wine Whenever (00:13.348)
Yes.

We Wine Whenever (00:24.024)
That's very nice for her.

KELLI (00:25.918)
It is very nice, because we've seen her, when she first came on the show, she was married. Her husband never appeared on the show. They said it was because of his job. They got divorced shortly thereafter. So it's been quite a journey for her, but Travis seems like a really solid guy. They're like the Brady Bunch. She's got three kids, he's got three kids. And her ex-husband is, I don't know if he's remarried, but whoever he's with, his new partner.

We Wine Whenever (00:39.767)
Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (00:48.713)
how cute!

KELLI (00:54.486)
she gets along with really well. So it's nice. I'm happy for her. Congratulations, Gina.

We Wine Whenever (00:57.412)
Sounds good.

Beautiful. Yeah, so this one's called Sisters of Salt, a Greek tragedy, which I thought was a really good, really good name. Great title. And I loved all the beginning and the moody lighting.

KELLI (01:08.76)
great title for this episode. Yeah.

KELLI (01:16.246)
Yeah, well, it opens up with what's to come and it's basically the Greek tragedy play. I thought it was them in the white cloaks with the scarves, right? Yeah, but it was not.

We Wine Whenever (01:22.39)
Mm-hmm.

Yeah, thought it was that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I thought it was them too. Yeah. Yeah. So it was so funny because they open up with all that moody, blah, blah, blah. And then they do the little scene. I think it's like a beach scene in Greece. And then it says like 15 hours earlier. And all I could think of was there's all those different memes that you see.

And it's that SpongeBob thing where it's in the voice that says 15 hours earlier. Do you know what I'm talking about? You know exactly what I'm talking about. Yes.

KELLI (01:58.232)
We, I know exactly what you're talking about, because we do it in my house all the time. When we're waiting for somebody, when somebody is taking too long, we're like three hours later.

We Wine Whenever (02:06.978)
hours later. that's all I can think of when I saw that scene. don't know why. It's so funny. And how about what Bronwyn said that Angie is so Greek that she's full of tragedy. Sometimes she's got good one liners that one.

KELLI (02:12.942)
That is so funny. Yeah.

KELLI (02:21.548)
Yes, Bronwyn definitely, definitely does. Mary and Meredith were getting coffee, Angie comes out and Mary's like, her lip. I'm like, all right, we knew what happened. It wasn't gonna look pretty, but I guess maybe in person it was, you know.

We Wine Whenever (02:25.88)
Yes.

We Wine Whenever (02:36.384)
Yeah, yeah.

We Wine Whenever (02:42.134)
I listen, I like Angie. And again, when I say things it is because I am the epa mode of fashion. Okay. But Angie's lips really are very big. Very big.

KELLI (02:51.746)
Right.

Yeah, yeah. And I would imagine cut up and bruised, it's even more, yeah, exactly. Yeah. So Angie tells them that she found a playwright and she's gonna write a play about them. And the woman's name is Stella. She's gonna come over and meet with all the ladies and see how they feel about each other.

We Wine Whenever (03:02.006)
and Bruce even bigger. Yeah. So maybe that was Mary's gasp.

We Wine Whenever (03:21.444)
Yeah, so I guess this was already happened when they've, she must have came when they first got there. The Stella meeting. Oh, I thought it was, I could be wrong too. I just got the impression like that, I thought they sat on the thing like a couple of days earlier or whatever. Yeah, I think that she did.

KELLI (03:27.235)
I thought she was coming that day. I could be wrong.

KELLI (03:37.512)
that does make more sense though, because literally she wasn't gonna meet with them that day, write a whole thing, back to, yeah, you're right, you're right. But when they were showing the ladies meeting with her, Brittany says she's deep.

We Wine Whenever (03:44.546)
Yeah, no, no, no. I think it was when they first got there. Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (03:56.59)
Mm-hmm.

KELLI (03:58.486)
Okay, and then Lisa's trying to guess what sign Stella is. She's missing every time and then finally Stella says she's a Pisces and Lisa was like, I knew you were gonna say that. Well, you said five other signs before that.

We Wine Whenever (04:09.43)
she was so annoying. She was so annoying in that scene because the woman clearly was like, I'm not here to talk about me. I'm here. Like I'm doing my job. I'm asking you questions about you. And she's just like, didn't get the hint that this woman is like really not interested in interacting with her at all. she, Lisa thought she was being like all cute and like conversationally. And the woman was just like,

KELLI (04:21.602)
Yes.

KELLI (04:31.128)
Right.

We Wine Whenever (04:38.862)
Do we do?

KELLI (04:38.926)
Well, I think Lisa tries to win people over, right? Like, you know.

We Wine Whenever (04:41.54)
Mm-hmm. Yeah. But it was just a very big difference between, so first they show Heather and the woman asks her, you know, I want to tell me some things about you. I want to get to know you. And Heather says, what do you want to know about me? Answers a question with a question and then puts her head down. And then the very next person is Lisa. And it was just such a vast difference because Lisa was like, there's so many words that come into my head.

smart, but the difference between, and whether Heather's reaction was real or...

We Wine Whenever (05:20.898)
being, you know, playing a part. Yeah, whatever. But I'm just saying the difference was, was amazing. Yeah. So Heather ended up saying, well-spoken. let's see. Lisa ended up saying smart, intuitive, and was a Sagittarius. And then Bronwen said quirky, unique. They didn't show Angie.

KELLI (05:21.374)
I think she's very theatrical. Yeah, yeah, Yes.

We Wine Whenever (05:47.736)
getting interviewed at all. Mary said about herself that she's self-aware. Whitney said she's a free spirit. And Brittany said she's happy and deep.

KELLI (05:58.915)
Yeah.

Yeah, I mean, I questioned the deep, but that's okay. That's okay. You say whatever you got to say, Brittany.

We Wine Whenever (06:02.776)
And then, yeah, it's a big question mark on that. Yeah, yeah. And then she asked them to tell her about the other, you know, each other. Yes.

KELLI (06:16.246)
each other.

KELLI (06:20.482)
Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (06:21.54)
as a group, the way that they showed it, like the answers that they're giving. So they're actually giving, I figured out later that they're actually giving answers in regards to specific people. But when production is showing it, it's presented as just a general answer about the group.

KELLI (06:38.445)
Right.

Right, right, but when played back to us with the actresses, there's a little bit more explanation there.

We Wine Whenever (06:44.522)
Right, right. So Heather says, dingbat, lack of justice and guarded. So again, when they're saying this, don't know who she's talking about. Lisa says, dramatic. And then she tells the lady, just make me cute.

KELLI (07:05.635)
Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (07:05.764)
Mary said, like all except one. Whitney said ego, pride and martyr. Meredith said, depends on the definition. And Bronwyn says, they have to be nice words, right? And then they didn't show anything from Britney.

KELLI (07:28.268)
Right. Right.

So.

Bronwyn says seeing Meredith act like she's in a Maybelline ad is disturbing because a few hours earlier, Meredith text Bronwyn that she wanted to talk and she was kind of spiraling and saying that everyone's out to get her and basically trying to find out what happened at their lunch. Now, of course, we didn't see this production had stopped filming at this point.

We Wine Whenever (07:58.852)
too much.

We Wine Whenever (08:03.812)
Mm-hmm.

KELLI (08:06.636)
And then Whitney and Heather are complaining about Lisa again, saying that they've been asking Lisa to go deep in their friendships for years and saying, and now she's saying the same thing to them. I'm so over Whitney and Heather, like, like constantly talking and complaining about the other women. I'm just over it. it's not happening. You're not going deep with Lisa and Meredith is gonna lie. So either you're gonna stay on the show and deal with that or get off the show.

We Wine Whenever (08:25.368)
You're like two little yappy dogs.

KELLI (08:36.014)
because this is what we're dealing with now.

We Wine Whenever (08:38.636)
Right. And Heather says, Lisa, you know, says that she wants to go deep, but she's the most shallow in the group, which I kind of agree with. And Heather says, be the hippie that we know you are and hug the trees.

KELLI (08:46.424)
Yeah.

KELLI (08:53.548)
Yeah. So this I thought was interesting. Bronwyn went to see Mary and Mary told her, I don't sleep under the covers because I don't know who's been in those covers. Now, I don't know if you saw this, but Bethany Franco put a TikTok up about her skin fungus and she thinks she got it from a hotel in St. Barts. I believe St. Barts.

We Wine Whenever (09:05.836)
Yes, I just saw it.

We Wine Whenever (09:11.438)
from the sheets. And you know, and you know, she ain't staying in no broke the broke place. And St. Barth, and St. Barth.

KELLI (09:20.02)
Exactly. So I thought that this was very interesting timing with Mary saying that.

We Wine Whenever (09:26.274)
Well, I will tell you, I like to travel. And anytime that I do, I always, always, always bring my own pillowcase. Always. Oftentimes I bring my own pillow. I jam that shit in there. I'll take it with me on the plane and bring an extra pillowcase so I can take the one from the plane off and put a fresh one on and blah, blah, blah. So yeah, I saw that.

KELLI (09:47.768)
Right.

KELLI (09:52.707)
Damn, weird timing, Brahman winds up telling Mary that Meredith was texting her and that Meredith was nervous about what everybody was saying to her.

We Wine Whenever (10:05.188)
Yeah, Mary felt like she was, Meredith is being kind of paranoid.

KELLI (10:09.442)
Yes.

Yeah. So then Bronwyn goes to talk to Merida.

We Wine Whenever (10:16.228)
Mm-hmm.

KELLI (10:19.599)
and she definitely, Meredith did not want to talk about this on camera. It was quite obvious.

We Wine Whenever (10:23.94)
Quite obvious, yep.

KELLI (10:27.15)
Basically, Meredith lies and says that it didn't happen. And I really can't imagine why Bronwyn would bring it up if it didn't happen. Just like I can't imagine why six women would say that Meredith was acting crazy on a plane if she didn't.

We Wine Whenever (10:39.01)
Yeah, that makes no sense.

We Wine Whenever (10:48.612)
Yeah, it did feel like she was definitely.

It did feel like maybe Meredith's like really good gas lighter.

KELLI (11:02.51)
100%, like I just, I feel like Meredith needs to be put on pause, I really do. I think Meredith needs to step away from the show. She is not admitting to anything and she's doing things, giving them the opportunity to accuse her of doing a lot of things and she's just basically saying, nah, I didn't. I mean.

We Wine Whenever (11:25.956)
And it's interesting because in her confessional, she totally changes it, flips the whole narrative around to say that, no, no, no, that's not what happened. Bronwyn, and this didn't even make sense to me. Bronwyn was nervous about the play and Meredith says that she told her if she recently had, you know, like,

KELLI (11:35.18)
Yes.

We Wine Whenever (11:55.048)
conversation and said something contentious that maybe something would come up like I was just like what do you even what are you even talking about that made no sense to me

KELLI (12:03.852)
Mm-hmm. No, no sense at all. Bronwyn tells her, feel like you're using me and that you sold me out. And then Bronwyn says, good luck with any of these other bitches because they're not gonna have your back like I did. Or did she say that in her confessional? I feel like she said it to her face. Yeah, okay.

We Wine Whenever (12:12.842)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.

We Wine Whenever (12:20.686)
Mm-hmm.

We Wine Whenever (12:24.888)
No, she said it to her face and she asked, and what I really think was interesting is because she said that, you she says, you asked me to come to you off camera. So, cause I was thinking to myself, well, why didn't production film this 1 a.m. between these two? But Bronwyn said it then, she said, you asked me to come to you off camera.

KELLI (12:54.114)
Mm-hmm. Right.

We Wine Whenever (12:55.404)
So she said, are you lying to me? You don't remember or you're gaslighting the shit out of me because right now it's one of the above.

KELLI (13:07.106)
Yeah. And now they all have to get on the Sprinter van together. And now Meredith is in a bad mood again when she was just happy-go-lucky at breakfast. So everybody's like, what the hell?

We Wine Whenever (13:09.197)
And then-

We Wine Whenever (13:15.848)
Mm-hmm. Yeah. So Meredith, like when they were done having her, Meredith and Brahman having a little argument, when Meredith walks off, Meredith says Brahman was threatening her. What is she threatening you? I don't understand what she thought. She just said, luck with everybody else. Like, how is that? What kind of, there's no threat.

KELLI (13:35.178)
Exactly. It's not a threat. That's right.

We Wine Whenever (13:43.908)
So then we go to meet Angie's cousin. I guess it's her.

her uncle, her father's brother's son. Yes, yes. Did you see how she almost falls again, Angie?

KELLI (13:54.99)
That's how I read it, yes.

KELLI (13:59.887)
I feel like Angie should just wear flats.

We Wine Whenever (14:03.904)
Yes. And how about when she said in her confessional that she needs to like up her life insurance the way she's going.

KELLI (14:09.46)
Yeah!

We Wine Whenever (14:11.894)
And Maris being such a bitch at that lunch too. Stop.

KELLI (14:15.16)
That's what I'm saying. Like now all of a sudden the switch has flipped and she's like a totally different person than what she was this morning. So I see what they're saying where it's like, you don't know who you're getting. It could be one person in 15 minutes, another person. Used to work for an attorney like that. and she is an attorney. That's interesting. that's interesting.

We Wine Whenever (14:23.94)
Okay.

We Wine Whenever (14:30.66)
be another person,

We Wine Whenever (14:40.228)
So how about when Angie was talking about how her mom had to hide in the basement in the war when she was like eight years old and her mom, you know, her and her mom had to hide in the basement and her mom told her to be quieter, they'll kill us. And Angie was saying how that trauma came out later on, you know, in alcoholism.

KELLI (14:45.218)
Yes.

KELLI (14:53.592)
Yeah.

KELLI (14:57.782)
Sure, I mean that and she said that that's the only story she remembers about her mom. So when she leaves Greece, leaves feeling like she connected more to her roots, but it's always with her dad's family. So, you know.

We Wine Whenever (15:01.444)
Mr.

We Wine Whenever (15:11.14)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. And did you see Lisa? She was like all over that cousin. He was like super friendly. I was just like, what are you doing?

KELLI (15:18.51)
Again, I think Lisa tries to win people over, no matter how she has to do it. Whether she has to be like, know, flirty with a guy or just, you know, cutesy with a girl. I think she just likes to win people over. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

We Wine Whenever (15:23.692)
Yeah. Do it. Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (15:31.844)
Mm-hmm.

We Wine Whenever (15:35.682)
Yeah, whatever it is. Yeah.

KELLI (15:42.671)
And then they go back to, well, Heather asks Bronwyn, I guess when they were sitting there having lunch or whatever, happened when they were on, like what happened when they were on the Sprinter van? So Bronwyn tells Heather what Meredith said and Meredith basically says Bronwyn's lying again.

We Wine Whenever (16:00.868)
Mm-hmm. Well, yeah, because they were back in the Sprinter and then you see production shows, the Marritor, the Saint, Elisa. I don't know why I'm here. And then you see them talking more in the front of the van, like, you know, because everybody can tell there's like this big tension and then Brahman's like, I don't care. I'll say it. I'll say what it was. And then she, you know, she says about it. And again, they were back in the van. Yeah. But again, you're right.

KELLI (16:26.736)
so they were back on the van then. There was like a lot going on last night when I was trying to watch this and take notes. At one point I just turned it off and was like, you know what, I'll finish it tomorrow. Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (16:37.368)
finish in another day. Yeah. So Bronwyn goes off in that sprinter though on Meredith. She's like,

KELLI (16:48.78)
Yeah. Good for her though.

We Wine Whenever (16:50.754)
You know? Yeah. Because she was just like, what the fuck?

KELLI (16:54.71)
Yeah, like stop lying. Just stop lying. That's what I mean. I really feel like, Meredith needs, I think she needs a break from the show because it comes out later that

We Wine Whenever (17:07.684)
Well, it doesn't seem like she's having... She's certainly not enjoying herself. And I understand...

KELLI (17:11.488)
a good time. So this is what I said about not to bring it back to Jersey, but this is what I was saying about Teresa like the past couple of seasons. She doesn't, she's not having a good time. I know it's a paycheck for her, but she's not enjoying herself and she's making everybody else miserable every scene she's in. And this is what Meredith is now doing. And this is what Tamra does on OC.

We Wine Whenever (17:35.491)
Mm.

KELLI (17:35.916)
Like I know you need the paycheck, but go do something else because you're making the show unwatchable. Meredith is making this, Meredith makes every scene uncomfortable that she's in.

We Wine Whenever (17:47.362)
Yeah, and I understand how people say, you know, it's a witch hunt against Meredith and they're all ganging up against her, blah, blah. But, okay, so, but if you're that fucking unhappy, then quit. Just quit it. Like, you obviously, you know, you tell us all the time how successful and smart and blah, blah, blah, you have this perfect life and you don't really need this. So then by all means, go.

KELLI (18:02.828)
Right, that's, yeah, exactly.

KELLI (18:15.32)
Yeah, no, I totally agree. Especially because she doesn't even live in Salt Lake City.

We Wine Whenever (18:15.896)
then by all means go. Because you can't-

Right, but you can't blame everything on people coming after you because that's the name of the game with these shows.

KELLI (18:32.216)
And the thing is is that you're on a reality TV show and your other, if your other castmates are actually showing their lives and you're not, and then you're lying about what they call you out on, it's like, what are you doing here? You're not, you're not doing your job. So why are you here? If you're, if you had a different job and you weren't doing your job, you'd get fired. She's not doing your job.

We Wine Whenever (18:49.668)
Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (18:56.792)
Absolutely.

We Wine Whenever (19:02.83)
So then they go to the play site, right? After that? Yeah.

KELLI (19:06.582)
Yeah, they go home to get ready for the play and then they get dropped off at a very remote location. Mary's like, this looks like a haunted house.

We Wine Whenever (19:12.356)
Yeah, Mary was, she was freaked out, man. And in her confessional, she was all pissed off. She's like, it's another wasted outfit.

KELLI (19:15.469)
Yeah.

KELLI (19:20.874)
Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (19:23.877)
And Angie says her greatest fear of the night is that whoever's playing her part doesn't have great hair.

KELLI (19:29.686)
my God. She gives each of them a mandia, mandilla, mandia? Scarf, yeah, with a certain color. And then the actresses come out to act out the play and they have respective colors to the housewives.

We Wine Whenever (19:35.734)
scarf. was a long scarf. Yes.

We Wine Whenever (19:47.554)
Yes, and I love how in the very beginning of the play, okay, when the actresses come out and the actresses have on matching scarves to the scarves given to the housewives, there's like an, I don't know what you call it, an orator? That could be the wrong word. A person who is telling, reading the story of the play.

KELLI (20:09.762)
I think that's Stella. think that's the one who wrote it, right?

We Wine Whenever (20:13.188)
No, that was not the lady who wrote it. That was a totally a different girl, but she was speaking the play. And so she says, it all started with a whisper. And when she says that, the character that's in the very front is Lisa. I don't know if you caught that. Yeah, the character in the front was Lisa. And then she says that Lisa,

KELLI (20:16.23)
okay.

KELLI (20:32.597)
Mm-hmm. Yes, yes.

Yes.

We Wine Whenever (20:43.658)
introduces a lunch and these are keywords wrapped in peace. So like she's calling Lisa out that like you're saying that you do things for that, but there's a, there's a back door to it. You know what I mean?

KELLI (20:50.764)
Yes.

KELLI (21:01.334)
Right. And because it did, the season started with her clarity lunch.

We Wine Whenever (21:05.379)
Yes.

KELLI (21:09.262)
So Lisa starts talking to Heather in the play and she says Heather hides behind her humor and I think that's very true.

We Wine Whenever (21:12.866)
Yes, and they say.

Yeah. Yeah. She said, Heather is a deflector. She laughs. she said, Mary to Heather. Right? You, you, you're a joke. Yeah. No, it married Heather. Yeah. You're, you're a joke wrapped in mascara. You act like nothing touches you, but everything does. And you laugh.

KELLI (21:21.934)
Mm-hmm.

KELLI (21:34.746)
I thought it was Least. wait, was it Mary Diler? You're right, you're right.

We Wine Whenever (21:45.752)
because crying would make you real. You hide behind your humor like it's armor. Laughing loud enough to drown out what you mean to say. Behind every joke is a shadow demon. You're too scared to say out loud. I thought this lady's was really good.

KELLI (22:05.666)
Yeah, that was spot on. That was spot on. And then Heather says to the Brahmin character, you're not two-faced, you're no-faced.

We Wine Whenever (22:07.234)
Mm-hmm.

We Wine Whenever (22:14.296)
Yeah, you're no face. And then they flash back to Lisa telling the playwright that Bronwyn has one face she lets everybody see and one face she hides. And then they go back to the play and she says, want to be trusted. You treat loyalty like a party favor, cheap and easy to toss. You collect secrets like trinkets, trading them between scissors. Scissors, good God. Sisters.

under the guise of concern, always leaving damage in her wake. This was really spot on with all the girls.

KELLI (22:49.132)
Yeah, for sure.

And then, wait, that was to Brahman. So then Brahman says, I didn't write anything down that they said to each other.

We Wine Whenever (22:59.842)
Yeah, I it all down. Then it's, Bramwyn to Lisa. You wear your wealth like a shield. You carry yourself like a queen amongst servants. And then they flash back to Heather describing Lisa. so Heather said, she's elite. She's better and cooler and richer than us. And then they'll go back to the play and it says, speaking to your sisters, not as equals, but women forever beneath you on your marble pedestal.

If only you were capable of an apology, but then you would have to say, was wrong. But that would mean being lesser and humility is the only thing you can never afford.

Damn. And then Lisa and Angie daggers lie beneath your tongue. And then they flash back to Bronwyn when Bronwyn says, when she loves you, she loves you. But when she hates you run. And I was like, I kind of say that about myself. Yeah.

KELLI (24:04.302)
Yeah, they flash back to a couple things she was saying, Angie, and she can spit it out.

We Wine Whenever (24:11.724)
yeah. And then they say about Angie, voice sharp, slicing so foolish in your thirst to be the best that you're left alone with nothing but the echo of the damage you've caused. yeah, I that was really good. And then Angie to Brittany, when you speak your words, it sounds like childish noise. And then they flash back to Lisa saying, she's chasing butterflies and ladybugs in her head 24 seven.

KELLI (24:28.91)
Mm-hmm.

We Wine Whenever (24:41.176)
Yeah, that was funny. And then it goes back to the play. worst of all, you cling to the attention of men like it's your lifeline, so consumed by a man's attention that you barely notice your children quietly fading into the background. And then they flash back to when her daughter says, I want you to want to spend time with me over somebody you're dating, not dating, who knows? So, yeah. And then...

KELLI (24:44.462)
That was funny.

KELLI (24:59.639)
harsh.

We Wine Whenever (25:10.296)
Brittany to Mary, you speak with a blade sharpened by truth and they flash back to Brittany saying, I really, really want to love her, but I feel very judged in regards to Mary. Back to the play, your words offer sting despite your conviction. And then they show when they were on the yacht and

Mary says to Meredith that you're boring and all that stuff. So they flashback to that. And then she says, you must learn that even the righteous must bend for without forgiveness, your conviction becomes a cage. I just thought she was really good at this playwright.

KELLI (25:56.301)
I thought she was really good. I'll tell you what, when they flash back to Lisa talking to Stella and she asks her about Whitney and Lisa said, Putana, where I come from, them says fighting words. That's a very mean thing to say. You're basically calling her a whore.

We Wine Whenever (26:06.636)
I was like, ooh.

Nams is fighting words. Absolutely.

We Wine Whenever (26:16.672)
Yeah. Yeah. Like a dirty... It's bad. It's like low-level horror.

KELLI (26:23.796)
Exactly.

Somebody told me one time, I don't know, did you ever have Pudinesco sauce? It's a, you know, it's a red, it's an Italian red sauce. So somebody told me one time, and I don't know if this is true, I should fact check it before I even say it, but that name, Pudinesco sauce, came from, because a husband would come home, but his wife was out whoring around all day, and he would be looking for his dinner, and...

We Wine Whenever (26:31.512)
Mm-hmm.

KELLI (26:54.976)
She would just throw whatever she had in the pot and make a quick sauce. Cause she didn't have time. Cause she was sleeping with somebody else. I don't know if that's true. Exactly. Exactly. I got to fact check that. But I couldn't believe Lisa said that word about Whitney. I mean, this is a married woman with children.

We Wine Whenever (27:01.774)
Cause she was too busy being a putana so she made some putana sauce. Yeah, that's funny. Yeah.

I know that was a little, that was, yeah, that was harsh. So then Mary says to Whitney, you know, the character of Whitney, we feel compelled to dismiss you as shallow, a flirt, a body without a mind. And then they flash back to Lisa and that's where you say it, like she calls her the putan.

KELLI (27:15.022)
That was harsh.

KELLI (27:34.807)
Woo!

We Wine Whenever (27:43.31)
And then, let's see.

KELLI (27:46.979)
I think it ends there and then they drink their truths like poison and all the actresses fall. And then the orator, that the word? I have it, I have written down moderator, but clearly that's not the right word. She says, you're no one without your sisters. And Brittany's like, whew, that was quite the tragedy.

We Wine Whenever (27:48.354)
Yeah, I think it does end there.

We Wine Whenever (27:53.005)
Yes.

Yes, I believe so.

We Wine Whenever (28:00.45)
I think it's the same. Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (28:05.386)
Mm-hmm. Yeah, and she said...

Yes. Yeah, she says, stripped of rivalries, stripped of voices that ever only truly knew them. The truth was revealed. Yeah, you're right. You're nothing without your sisters. Yeah. And Heather says that they nailed it. She says, we're so good at projecting this image, but if we can't be real and vulnerable with each other, we're wasting our friendship.

KELLI (28:34.19)
Yeah. Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (28:37.558)
And Angie says she got from it that, that she felt like your sisters make you who you are.

and without them you don't really have anything.

I don't

KELLI (28:52.056)
Brahman said she was horrified. She has a deep issue with people not being loyal to her, but she's not loyal to them either. And then she does say Todd has been disloyal to her.

We Wine Whenever (29:03.734)
Mm-hmm. Yep.

KELLI (29:08.118)
And there are moments where I feel for Lisa. Like she starts to cry and basically she says it made her sad to hear that she hides behind her things, but she's just proud of her accomplishments. And she's also constantly disappointed in herself, which is very surprising to hear.

We Wine Whenever (29:25.464)
Yeah, which is very surprising. But see, I think that is part of the issue also with Meredith. And I felt this a little bit with Mary too. Brittany really didn't speak much, at least I felt in like in this instance that Heather...

Kind of sorta, but definitely Bronwyn, definitely Lisa, those two really stepped up to the plate with owning what was said about them and how others thought about them. Like,

KELLI (30:04.312)
No, totally, totally.

We Wine Whenever (30:07.396)
And Lisa said that there was, let's see, growing up that she felt like she was responsible for her younger's sisters. But this is the thing when she said, there's a lot expected of me because of who I am. I was thinking, oh God.

KELLI (30:20.131)
Yeah.

KELLI (30:31.266)
I know. I know. She gets ya and then she loses ya.

We Wine Whenever (30:36.566)
And then she loo- just as quickly as she got ya, it's fucking gone.

KELLI (30:43.182)
And then Meredith says that she was trained to use her words cautiously. They can bring joy and they can bring pain. She's very sensitive and easily hurt. She's afraid of betrayal. Now, personally, I think we're talking about Seth now. I mean, you know, so at this point, Heather brings up the issue between Meredith and Brahman.

We Wine Whenever (31:02.818)
Mm-hmm, mm-hmm.

KELLI (31:11.85)
And then Whitney, know, here's a good example of Meredith kind of opening up a little bit and saying things. And then Whitney and Heather getting involved and making it take a left turn. Yeah, because I feel like, okay, so Heather brings up the issue between Meredith and Brahman. Maybe she felt we're getting a vulnerable moment with Meredith. Let's see where this can lead us. But as soon as Whitney starts talking with her little girl voice,

We Wine Whenever (31:23.512)
and messing it all up.

KELLI (31:40.8)
It's like Meredith shuts down.

We Wine Whenever (31:42.478)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.

KELLI (31:44.728)
So, Meredith gets up and walks away, basically, because Whitney brings up her wanting to know about the lunch.

We Wine Whenever (31:52.462)
But isn't that what she does every single time?

KELLI (31:54.677)
All the time, all the time. She actually comes back and then Mary kind of sets her straight and says, we're all concerned about you. We think you're spiraling. And that's exactly what we talked about at lunch.

We Wine Whenever (32:11.128)
Yeah. I just.

KELLI (32:12.824)
She says, you're not okay. And Meredith says, I am okay.

We Wine Whenever (32:17.07)
But this is the thing, if I worked with...

five, six people and they all said the same thing to me.

I would be concerned and I would be self-reflective and I would be like, and I, yeah, I would really want to sit down and be like, okay, I'm like really, because if it really wasn't true, I'd be like, okay, so then I think it's really important for me to sit down with you guys and for you to tell me what you think and I can discuss.

KELLI (32:34.242)
You have to at least at this point self-reflect.

We Wine Whenever (32:59.49)
because I wouldn't just be like, nope, there's nothing, bye. Like I just, I couldn't do that. I'd be like, okay, so.

KELLI (33:04.524)
Right, right, you're wrong, you're wrong.

We Wine Whenever (33:14.592)
If these, if this really isn't, if all these things aren't true and there's really nothing wrong and you were my friends, I'd be like, okay, so I want you to tell me what it is that you think and maybe I can clarify some things for you. maybe, but I would never just be like, nah, that's not it. Nothing.

KELLI (33:34.69)
Great. No, but this is what she does because she doesn't want to talk about what's really going on. She does seem very unhappy. And I can only imagine it's got something to do with her marriage.

We Wine Whenever (33:48.728)
Yeah.

KELLI (33:48.847)
I mean, Whitney does say she's sorry she called her the names she did, but it comes from experience with her family. And then Bronwyn tells Meredith that she's had things go on in her marriage. Meredith is like, my marriage is stronger than ever. And then Bronwyn tells her that she saw Seth with a woman in New York. And I don't think so either, not in front of everybody because...

We Wine Whenever (33:54.808)
Mm-hmm.

We Wine Whenever (33:58.756)
Mm-hmm.

We Wine Whenever (34:08.184)
Yeah, I didn't think that was the best move. It was not the best move on, on no, and not, not at that point. It just, it was going to serve no, it was going to serve no purpose. It was just not a good idea.

KELLI (34:23.168)
And Lisa's like, this is why she's so closed off. You're basically, you know, they're basically accusing Seth of being with another woman. So Meredith storms off again and Whitney goes after her like, Whitney, you are not the one. You're not the one. And she's so aggressive with it. Like Lisa was trying to pull her away. She was like, she's like moving Lisa's hand away from her, like back off. You are the last person she wants to talk to right now.

We Wine Whenever (34:34.274)
Yeah, what is wrong with you? Yeah, no.

We Wine Whenever (34:39.758)
Yes.

KELLI (34:50.87)
You're not gonna, there's nothing you can say or do right now that's gonna get Meredith to talk to you. So back off.

We Wine Whenever (34:57.004)
Right. Yeah, no. It's just... Whitney's got... Whitney doesn't read the room well.

KELLI (35:04.074)
No, not at all. But I did like when Bronwyn said there was a time on this trip that I was worried about Meredith. But looking perfect is more important to Meredith. And that is the damn truth. Meredith just wants everybody to-

We Wine Whenever (35:15.0)
Yes. Looking perfect and not taking accountability is more important to her than her friendship with us. Yes. And being friends with us. Absolutely.

KELLI (35:20.866)
Yes.

KELLI (35:25.056)
Absolutely.

I've said it for years, Meredith has not shown us one tiny inch of her real life. It's all smoke and mirrors.

We Wine Whenever (35:41.54)
Yeah, I don't get it.

KELLI (35:42.295)
I mean, basically that's it. And then they do the recap. Heather's enjoying her empty nest. Lisa continues to talk to trees. Meredith is opening up a caviar bar in addition to her fake DJing. Angie is not yet a Greek citizen, but Bronwyn is an American citizen and Gwen and Muzzy are still living with her. Mary hopes Robert Jr. finds his way and so do we.

We Wine Whenever (35:50.977)
What? Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (35:55.843)
Yes.

We Wine Whenever (36:09.292)
So do we, yes. I love it how when they said Lisa continues to talk to trees, which convince her that she's a good listener, despite what John says. I was like, production, production.

KELLI (36:22.988)
love those little recaps at the end because they always do get very snarky.

We Wine Whenever (36:26.66)
Yeah, so funny. So, so, so funny.

KELLI (36:29.134)
I've never seen Andy Cohen walk off of a reunion and he does next week. I mean, you know, he's Andy Cohen. So maybe he just wants in on the theatrics, but because there have been reunions primarily Jersey, which is why they didn't have a reunion for the last season because they saw the writing on the wall where Melissa and Teresa are yelling at each other so bad. One was Melissa and Teresa. One was

We Wine Whenever (36:40.868)
On the, yeah, on the theatrics,

KELLI (36:57.59)
Margaret and Teresa and he like screamed like shut up like he had he had totally lost control So I guess maybe he reflected on that and figured if this ever happens again because he's accused Lisa Barlow of Over talking him multiple times and yeah, I'll just leave and he does

We Wine Whenever (37:11.651)
I'm just leaving.

KELLI (37:20.845)
Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (37:22.692)
So, we shall see.

KELLI (37:24.194)
I'm wondering if we're gonna get a three-part reunion out of this. That's been three parts.

We Wine Whenever (37:27.3)
I believe it did say it was three parts. I believe I did say that I did hear that it was three parts. So now I watch this one with you guys and I watch Beverly Hills and say what you want about Salt Lake, but I definitely feel like you really kind of get in with the characters. Like they let you in on a lot of, other than Meredith, yeah.

KELLI (37:38.776)
Mm-hmm.

KELLI (37:53.314)
Yeah, well, other than Meredith. Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (37:56.952)
But you know what I mean? Like, I think that you really see some things that are like, when Lisa was crying at that play and admitting those things, I don't feel like that was acting. You know what I mean? So I feel like you still get some of those little moments that aren't hyper produced. Like I feel like Beverly Hills is just like a lot of fluff, fluffy. Fluff, yeah.

KELLI (38:09.089)
No, I don't either.

KELLI (38:17.869)
Yes.

KELLI (38:21.728)
I mean, look at who you're dealing with. You're dealing with actresses, basically. Or people who have been on TV, or, you know, like Rachel Zoe had her own reality show. Kyle Richards is a trained actress, you know.

We Wine Whenever (38:25.539)
Right. Right.

We Wine Whenever (38:34.988)
Right, right. so did you see that she supposedly bought some big mansion in Tennessee?

KELLI (38:41.912)
I did. I did. That's interesting, isn't it?

We Wine Whenever (38:45.316)
Very interesting.

KELLI (38:47.702)
right after pictures surfaced of she and Mo on New Year's Eve watching a movie or something like that. Which from what I understand they all go skiing. I don't know if it's Aspen do they go to? I don't know. For the holidays. So they probably were there with their girls. So I mean just because they were sitting there watching a movie together doesn't mean they hooked up or anything. But somebody had a New Year's Eve party I forget and they were there.

We Wine Whenever (38:52.932)
Yeah, yeah.

We Wine Whenever (39:02.552)
I believe so, yeah.

We Wine Whenever (39:10.584)
Does it mean anything? Yeah, yeah, yeah.

KELLI (39:18.496)
And they said, like, you know, people were saying that they were getting cozy with each other, but whatever. So even if they did hook up, they're still legally married, good for them. I mean, people have needs.

We Wine Whenever (39:25.506)
Yeah, okay. They're married. It's like...

Yeah, so whatever. If it's a marriage that's separated and then with benefits, okay.

KELLI (39:34.615)
Yeah.

KELLI (39:40.118)
Yeah, exactly. Good for you. Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (39:42.404)
Yeah, so I did I enjoyed this episode assault like I thought that the the playwright Was very talented. I felt like she really got all of them

And I did like how Lisa and Bronwyn really owned up. And Meredith too, to an extent she did. She did kind of say, I mean, she didn't admit to it, but she did agree. Yes, I've been trained in words and you know, I'm afraid and I'm very sad. You know what I mean? So at least she kind of opened up and showed some emotion.

KELLI (40:05.815)
Yeah.

KELLI (40:15.395)
Yeah.

KELLI (40:23.565)
Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (40:27.248)
but don't feel like Mary heard anything anybody had to say. I don't think Heather heard anything anybody had to say about her. You know what I mean? I don't feel like, I don't even feel like Angie necessarily took in what was being said. You know what I mean? But I did, I did enjoy Lisa's response and, Bronwyn's response. thought were really.

KELLI (40:32.696)
now.

KELLI (40:39.564)
Yeah, yeah.

KELLI (40:48.183)
Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (40:57.218)
really honest and...

KELLI (41:00.578)
Yeah, taking accountability.

We Wine Whenever (41:01.528)
Yeah, yes, yes, yes, yes, and at least.

KELLI (41:05.324)
I thought it was a good season. I really did think it was a good season. So we'll see. We'll see what the reunion brings.

We Wine Whenever (41:16.798)
I'm exhausted even thinking about it. I'm exhausted even thinking about it. Yes. All right. So I think that's it, right? We're good. We're good. All righty.

KELLI (41:19.382)
I know, it's a lot, it's a lot. It's always a lot. For them and for us. So, yeah, we're good.

All right, please like and subscribe and follow and five star reviews. Thanks, bye.
