Special Forces S4 E9: Interrogation Hell
⭐ Podcast Summary — Special Forces S4 E9: Interrogation Hell
Day 9 — 5 recruits remain, running on almost 24 hours with no sleep. Hooded, bound, and disoriented, they enter the most brutal phase of all: interrogation. The directive is simple but deadly: never admit military affiliation and survive 12 hours of mental warfare.
First Round Interrogations
- Brianna is stripped down and immediately challenged. She admits she tries to be “normal” so people like her—a crack the interrogators pounce on.
- Kody Brown faces Erin, who needles him about his looks and his 18 children. His lack of rapport and inability to read the room puts him at risk.
- Gia stays calm, polite, and composed—exactly what they want.
- Andrew is shouted at and physically grabbed. His interrogator presses him about his wife, kids, and why he’s there.
- Shawn reveals her husband’s name (a misstep) but shows honesty and vulnerability talking about her kids and guilt.
The Lie About Why They’re in Morocco
Each recruit must deliver a credible cover story:
- Andrew claims he’s on a charity soccer trip, but cracks show when he can’t define who “we” is.
- Gia sells her Italian soccer story flawlessly.
- Shawn, a travel vlogger, breaks down emotionally over being away from her kids—yet the interrogators find her believable.
- Brianna & Kody say they’re there podcasting/influencing… and it spirals. Brianna calls someone "creepy," which later becomes ammunition against them.
Stress Tests & Breaking Points
- Brianna and Kody get water dumped on them as interrogators call out holes in their influencer “content” story.
- Kody is accused of enjoying watching Brianna suffer—he shuts down completely.
Relationship Pressure Test
Interrogators pit Andrew, Shawn, and Gia against each other:
- Andrew must physically push both his wife (Shawn) and Gia into water under orders.
- He fails to follow tactics taught in training and is pulled off the course. Shawn is devastated when she realizes he’s gone.
Cody’s Collapse
Kody stays silent while the women suffer under sandbags in 100° heat. His refusal to engage leads to his removal.
He made it far, but shut down when it mattered.
Final Terror: Buried Alive
The final three—Brianna, Shawn, and Gia—are placed in wooden mud boxes and buried.
Only one question matters:
“Are you in the military?”
Say yes → fail.
- Gia panics but holds firm: “No, sir.”
- Shawn stays silent and strong.
- Brianna breaks with only ten minutes left—she fails.
Final Verdict
Only Shawn Johnson and Gia pass both interrogation and the full course.
They started as strangers, survived hell together, and leave bonded for life.

Wendy (00:01.07)
Welcome to We Won Whenever, I'm Wendy.
Lori (00:04.303)
And I'm Lori.
Wendy (00:06.776)
We are talking about Special Forces Season 4, Episode 9, Season Finale. am sad that it's over. I am in love with the show. I can't wait for next season. I can't wait to see who they get for next season. We start out 12 hours ago, six recruits split into two teams. And now we are at...
Lori (00:17.798)
Mm-hmm.
Wendy (00:35.694)
five recruits remain for the most brutal part, the interrogation. So it's day nine, 0159 hours, which is almost two o'clock in the morning. And there's five recruits remaining. They have been awake for almost 24 hours.
Lori (00:41.713)
Yes.
Lori (00:52.786)
Mm-hmm.
Lori (01:00.71)
Brutal. It's so interesting how the DS said, you know, when they were talking about that this is the interrogation phase and he said, it's the last place you want to be apart from death.
Wendy (01:12.992)
Yes, yes. So they're standing outside with the hoods over their head, the goggles on, their hands are bound. It's gonna be 12 hours of absolute mental and physical hell. So can only imagine. I mean, they don't, I really feel like they didn't show us a lot, right?
Lori (01:36.592)
No, no, they really didn't.
Wendy (01:38.956)
I I think that there was a lot that went on that we didn't see.
Lori (01:43.805)
Probably. And it's, you know, they said the DSS are saying that the, you know, the recruits must not reveal that they are military. And I'm thinking to myself, you know, those camouflage pants might be giving it away. Right? I mean, really.
Wendy (02:03.008)
Yeah.
Yep, yep. that was really the ultimate goal here is to not admit that they were military. And they bring in this special person who's gonna be, they call him the umpire, and he's gonna be the leader of the new interrogators that they bring in, these special interrogators. And he's gonna be the one who decides whether or not they pass or they fail.
Lori (02:14.044)
Mm-hmm.
Wendy (02:32.702)
So the first one we see is Brianna and he tells her to take off her, take her boots off and her socks off and her trousers and her top. And you know, if I ask you a question, you answer me, like don't piss me off. And she's, you know, she's doing what she's supposed to be doing. In her confessional though, she starts talking about, you know, the more normal I am, the more people like me, which I thought was interesting, right? Because
Lori (03:01.394)
Yeah, yeah, I thought that to myself too, like, hmm.
Wendy (03:05.44)
Right. Then we see the female interrogator, Erin, she's interrogating Cody Brown and she's telling him he doesn't look the best. And she said, like, you're trying to stare me down. And he said, no. But you could see, like, he was having a very hard time, like, just even standing there, which I thought was interesting, right?
Lori (03:30.492)
Mm-hmm.
Well, I think he has a opposition to anybody who's in an authoritative.
position next to him. You know what I mean? I think he kind of took that as a, you know how he is about his manhood, like a threat to his man. You know how he is.
Wendy (03:44.366)
Because it, yeah.
Wendy (03:53.953)
Yeah.
Yeah, so she starts asking him questions and she asked if he has children and he said yes and she said how many and he said 18 and you know they're watching him like he can't even look at her when he's talking to her. She said well how does that even happen and he said nature which is kind of a smart ass you know and like they said he wasn't even trying to build a rapport like he didn't feel like
Lori (04:17.074)
No, not really. Uh-huh.
Wendy (04:26.316)
he needed to explain it, right? Which in itself is just putting him in a vulnerable position. They do show us that they, before they did the last challenge, that they sat down with them and they told them what you need to do to survive in these interrogations. Like, you know.
Lori (04:29.916)
Right.
Lori (04:49.136)
Yeah, I was just, was not very, I don't feel like, I didn't feel like it was very clear. Like what is it that they, what is it that they wanted you to do? Like they wanted you to try and befriend them, but not tell them you were male. Like what was the, what was the end goal? I was, I was a little confused. when, like in the, when we get to it, we'll see that Andrew leaves and I'm like, okay, but what.
Wendy (05:10.22)
I think I yeah.
Lori (05:18.438)
What is it that you wanted him to do? Like I was a little confused.
Wendy (05:23.286)
Yeah, yeah, we'll get there. We'll get there. So then the next one we see is that same female interrogator, Erin, she's now talking to Gia. And I thought she was very calm and very respectful, Gia. Yes. Now it's day nine, 0328. So it's an hour and a half later, because they started at like 0200. So it's an hour and a half later.
Lori (05:39.677)
Gia did very good. She did very good. Yeah.
Wendy (05:52.974)
Meanwhile, the other interrogator is yelling at Andrew because he moved and he's like, did I say move? while the same time Andrew's being interrogated, his wife, Sean, is being interrogated. And again, I mean, I think it's like she said, she's used to not showing emotion.
Lori (06:12.794)
Mm-hmm. Yeah, so I figured she would do very well in this challenge.
Wendy (06:18.582)
And she really did. I think she really did do very well. I do. And you know, Andrew's a protector and his wife was there. I think that if she wasn't there, it would have been a different, yeah, it would have been a different game for him, right? So the, he, the male interrogator asked Sean why she's there and she said, well, she's an athlete and you know, she said,
Lori (06:30.172)
Keyboard had done better, yes.
Wendy (06:47.47)
My husband and I, do family content. And he said, well, what's your husband's name? And he said, Andrew. And then he's like, why is there a bunch of sand in your backpack? And I think the fact that she came up with that right away, oh, well, in the United States, like in America, this is something that we do for fitness. We fill it up and work out with it.
Lori (07:08.85)
Right, but why was there sand in, a bunch of sand in there?
Wendy (07:10.7)
Because they had to be at 30 pounds they were training. It was a military thing. So they filled them up with sand. They filled them up with sand to make sure that they were at the 30 pound weight for training. And again, like that was her quick on her feet because even, don't know if you remember, they asked Andrew why he's wearing what he's wearing. And he said, these are my favorite pants. Cause he had on camouflage.
Lori (07:13.746)
Wow. Okay, okay, okay. Okay, I got you, I got you.
Lori (07:38.392)
Mm-hmm. Yeah.
Wendy (07:39.542)
Right? And I think they even asked, I think they asked Gia too. And she's like, yeah, I like the style. Like this is the style I like. So, you know, they had to be quick on their feet with coming up with some of these answers. Yeah.
Lori (07:52.622)
Answers. Yeah. I feel like I just would have had this automatic instinct, especially to lie about if I had children.
just because if you were really, yeah, if you were really in that real situation, I think I would lie, lie, lie. I don't even think I'd give my real name. I think I'd just lie, lie, lie. Just if that situation was kind of real, that's all I'm saying.
Wendy (08:04.492)
because you don't want to, right.
Wendy (08:09.763)
Mm-hmm.
Wendy (08:18.242)
Mm-hmm.
Yeah, yeah.
Wendy (08:25.998)
The interrogator asked Andrew what his name was and he said Andrew and then Andrew asked the interrogator what his name was I was like, ooh
Lori (08:33.938)
Yeah, what are you doing? What are you doing, bro? Yeah, where are you? Yeah, I don't know.
Wendy (08:35.688)
Andrew, like no. And then the interrogator said, well, do you have children? And he said, yeah, well, who's looking after them? He said, my mom. He said, well, why isn't the Mrs. looking after them? He's like, well, he's like, where is she? she's somewhere in the United States. What?
Lori (08:56.004)
Again, I think he had that same thing in mind like I did, like not to let, you know, but that's the thing. Like if you're gonna say something like that, you have to have that conversation beforehand and be like, okay.
you know, after you got that talk from the DS's about what to do if you get captured, a good thing would have been to meet up with your team and say, okay, look, this is the game plan. This is what we're gonna say. This is what we're gonna, you know.
Wendy (09:25.526)
Right, right.
Wendy (09:32.042)
Andrew says to his interrogator that he thinks that he's made a big mistake and the interrogator says, no, no, no, no. I said, I'm just confused why I'm here. Like at this point, I feel like he's already lost. Then we hear that they've been held throughout the night. So I don't even know what time it is because last we knew it was 3.30 in the morning and that the interrogation is going to even ramp up further from what they've been doing.
Wendy (10:02.924)
So the interrogator asking them individually, like, why are you here in Morocco? And each team came up with a story. So the one team, Andrew and Gia and, Shawn. No, not Shawn. Shawn wasn't on Andrew's team. Andrew, Gia and Brianna, they were there for soccer fields. They were building soccer fields. Shawn, wait.
Lori (10:15.196)
Sean.
Lori (10:22.888)
yeah, yeah.
Wendy (10:34.218)
Cody, Cody, no, Cody was with Brianna. Cody, Andrew and Brianna were together. They were doing social media. Wait, who was?
Lori (10:40.199)
Yes.
Lori (10:46.226)
You having a brain fart there, Wendy? It's a menopause, menopause brain fart. See people, this is what happens to real housewives, like real real housewives.
Wendy (10:46.476)
Gia? I am. I am. Yeah, listen.
Wendy (10:56.118)
Yes. Yes. mean, and I have extensive notes here and I still can't remember.
Lori (11:03.26)
So I think it was Chicken Fry and Cody.
Lori (11:12.656)
I know Chicken Fry and Cody were together, right? Because I remember them, they got dumped, that stuff got dumped on their head because...
Brianna said he was creepy. Yeah, I remember that.
Wendy (11:23.788)
Yeah, creepy. and Jaya and Andrew were together and Sean was not with Andrew. So Sean was with Cody and Brianna, right? So then who was with...
Lori (11:37.606)
Yep. Yep.
Wendy (11:45.048)
G and Andrew.
Wendy (11:53.568)
is in
Lori (11:55.388)
That's what happens. Your brain stops working. And listen, we don't even need interrogation to make this happen. We just need everyday life to make it happen. But that was, that was really good when Chicken Fry said that, that Cody was creepy. I mean, good for TV, but not really good if you're in an interrogation. Like you're definitely giving them like a chink in your armor. You're giving them like.
Wendy (12:23.906)
Yes.
Lori (12:25.008)
You're giving them like a way in that, know, somewhere to make a crack bigger. You know what mean? And I almost felt like Chicken Fry was kind of like, like trying to make a little too much conversation, like making, trying to make a little too much friends, you know, by just letting something so personal come into her conversation with an interrogator. And I think like they could have...
Wendy (12:33.208)
Yes.
Wendy (12:46.199)
Right.
Lori (12:54.524)
they could have done a little bit better with the interrogation team. Like they could have been like a little rougher, a little meaner, a little more, like a little more, you know? It could have done like a little more to make them a little more intimidating, like a little more like a real interrogation would be. You know, like I thought it was a little soft, but it's TV, so, you know, that's just how it goes.
Wendy (13:05.069)
Yeah.
Wendy (13:14.369)
Yeah.
Wendy (13:22.03)
I thought that, I mean, I think that Gia did such a good job. She said that she was here to do the soccer fields and they were like, well, who were you with? And she said, well, there was this gentleman, his name was Andrew. That's all she gave up, just his first name. She's like, I don't know. I'm not sure where he's at. I don't know. She was really good. And then when he said,
Lori (13:25.74)
she did a great job.
Lori (13:38.096)
Yep, yep, yep.
Lori (13:42.746)
Yeah, no, she was good. She was very good.
Wendy (13:50.233)
why soccer? She's like, well, I'm Italian and you know, it's very big in our culture. And he's like, well, what team do you like? She's like, Italy. Like, you know what I mean? I was like, oh my God, you're doing so good. You're so good. know, Andrew on the other hand is like, yeah, well, there's a lot of people that are passionate about sports and he keeps saying, we came over here and she keeps saying, well, who is we? Who is we?
Lori (13:57.298)
She was good. She was really good. Yeah, I loved it.
Lori (14:17.232)
Right, right.
Wendy (14:18.946)
And she's like, I just need you to give me a straight answer. Like, and he's not. She's like, you're married and you left your wife to come over here and do soccer fields with who? You don't know who you're here with? Like, that doesn't make any sense. She's like, I don't believe you. And now we find out that it's day nine still and it's 0543 AM and they're still going at it.
Lori (14:23.974)
Yeah.
Lori (14:34.362)
Right, right, right. Yeah. That doesn't make any sense. Yep.
Wendy (14:49.27)
And that's when the interrogator is asking Sean like why she's here. And she's like, you know, I do influencing travel vlogging. He said, like, were you in the wrong place? She said, I think maybe I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. You know, I was only meant to be here for three days, which again, I thought was really smart too. Like at least she gave like something definitive, right?
Lori (15:05.979)
Yes.
Lori (15:09.818)
Right, like, yeah, so I guess the point was you had to give answers that seemed plausible without giving out too much information. So like the three day thing, the whole, you know, you had to like embellish it enough, but not too much.
Wendy (15:18.732)
Right, right.
Wendy (15:25.048)
The three day, right. But I even, yeah, I even think when he said, you have children? And she said, yeah, I have my three children. And he said, well, how old are they? And she's like five, three, and one. He said, well, I hope you're getting paid a lot because these are some ages where your kids really need you. And she started crying, which again, really played into her being honest. She's like, well, I really, I have bills to pay. We really need the money. Like this is what I have to do, which is believable, right?
Lori (15:42.706)
Mm-hmm.
Lori (15:49.978)
Right. Yes. Yes. Yes. So I think it's those kind of little things that are woven in there that make it plausible. But Cody was fuming though when they were getting on him. He was definitely...
Wendy (15:59.981)
Mm-hmm.
Right.
Wendy (16:09.536)
Yeah, because he really... Yeah, he just shut down.
Lori (16:12.754)
Yeah. He doesn't like to be questioned. No, not at all.
Wendy (16:17.3)
No. Yep.
Wendy (16:24.046)
So then we, the next time we get, it's day nine, 0612 hours, and five recruits remain. So this is where.
Wendy (16:36.75)
Is this where they pulled out Andrew?
Lori (16:42.158)
No, remember we do, yeah, because we bring them, they bring them out. Yeah, they bring them out and they do that dunk tank thing.
Wendy (16:42.612)
No, no, Andrew's still there. Andrew's still there. Okay, so that's why I'm not. Yeah, there's only.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's why I'm trying to... I can't figure out who the sixth person is because there's only five.
Lori (16:52.73)
And did you notice, because there's only five, did you notice when they were doing that whole dunking thing that they put like a noise overlay?
Wendy (17:06.293)
No!
Lori (17:06.438)
They put like, yeah, when, when the people are, when the girls are getting dunked in the tank, you hear a noise and it sounds almost like a screaming underwater noise. And, and it was, you know, was a production thing. It was not, they were not making any noise. I watched, some interview that Sean and Gia did and they said that that there.
Wendy (17:12.11)
huh.
Wendy (17:21.422)
I didn't.
Lori (17:36.262)
The screaming noise during the dunking was not real. It was like an added thing from production. Because I noticed it right away when they were getting dunked and I'm looking at them. I'm like, they're not opening their mouths. Like, why is there this, why is there this like underwater screaming noise? But they added it.
Wendy (17:57.198)
Okay.
Alright, yeah, didn't, I did not notice that.
So now they're at the halfway point of the final phase and they're going to stress test Cody and Brianna. she called out the interrogator called out for Brianna for calling him creepy. So she said, you know, now they're going to pour water on him. So he's standing there and they're pouring the water on him. And she's like, I looked at your it was gross. It was gross. And she's yelling at her.
Lori (18:20.434)
Mm-hmm.
Lori (18:26.096)
And it was dirty. It was dirty water. It was gross dirty water. Yeah.
Wendy (18:33.166)
She's like, I looked on your Instagram. You didn't post anything. You're a liar. And she's like, well, no, no, we haven't posted yet. So then they're like, OK, well, we're going to dump water on you now, too. So she stood there while Cody watched them dump the water on her. And they asked Cody, are you enjoying watching a woman suffer? Because I think that's what you like. And he really didn't say anything. Just stood there.
Lori (18:58.522)
No, just stood there.
Wendy (19:01.016)
Just staring, just staring them down. He just didn't say a word. I was like, this isn't good.
Lori (19:04.85)
Mm-hmm.
Yeah, so like I said, I was very confused. Like, what is it that they wanted Andrew to do? That he, that they felt he had to leave? Like, what was it that you wanted him to do?
Lori (19:24.102)
Like, why did they say?
Wendy (19:26.126)
I think they, think, well, let's get there, because we're not there yet. So the next time we get is 0743, which is 743 in the morning. There's six hours left to go of interrogation, and they're going to be paired off against each other. The interrogator asks Andrew, who is that? And he points to his wife. And.
Lori (19:49.202)
Mm-hmm.
Wendy (19:51.022)
First he doesn't answer. He just kind of stands there. And then she asks again and he says, that's my wife. And she said, why the F didn't you tell me this before? And it's like that he didn't have the answer.
Wendy (20:10.322)
He said, I thought she had already left. I thought she'd already left. said, yeah, but you did say she was here though. So I guess he didn't give them like consistent stories when it came to her. And I think the other point was when the interrogator asked Andrew who's that and he points to Gia, right? And he said, well, I worked on the soccer field with her. I think that was good. But then when they put him to the...
Lori (20:23.246)
Okay, okay. So that was a deal.
Wendy (20:39.606)
the true test and they make him do the dunking, he didn't try and stop it. He just did it. He just allowed them to continue to push these women down. I think that they wanted him to step up and say no to them. I think that that's what they wanted him to do.
Lori (20:43.826)
Mm-hmm.
Lori (21:08.306)
So to me that was totally confusing.
Wendy (21:09.912)
to maybe sacrifice himself, to maybe sacrifice himself. Say, you know what? Instead of dunking them, dunk me.
Lori (21:15.6)
Okay.
Lori (21:22.27)
Okay. Yeah, maybe. Yeah. I was just, I was just very confused because I'm looking at like, okay, what do you want the fucking guy to do? What do want him to do? Like, you know, on one hand, you say, oh, well, you know, he really shouldn't talk back to them or Cody shouldn't talk back to them. But then now you want them to talk. Like, I don't know. It's just, it was confusing to me.
Wendy (21:22.638)
Do you know what I'm saying?
Wendy (21:42.509)
Yeah
Wendy (21:48.11)
I don't know that they wanted him to talk back because the DS has said when he was doing that, like, he should have said something. And I think that the only thing he really could have said is he could have sacrificed himself for them, right? Because he didn't get dunked, they did. And he was the one doing the dunking, right?
Lori (22:01.444)
Okay. Yeah, now that makes sense. That makes sense now.
Lori (22:09.388)
Right. Okay. You know, that makes sense when I think about it that way. But before I was confused, I was like, okay, think I did, but all right.
Wendy (22:18.646)
That's the only thing I can come up with is that they didn't like the way he performed in front of his wife and Gia, who had already kind of been strong about their, you know, their convictions and their story. And those are the two that were getting punished and he was doing the punishing along with them. And as one of their teammates, right? Like if you're really in a military position, like you would think that the stronger
Lori (22:41.17)
Right, right.
Wendy (22:47.992)
physically, the physically stronger person would try and put themself up instead of, I would think, I don't know.
Lori (22:54.706)
No, no, no. That makes sense to me because before I was like, I don't know what's going on. But now that totally makes sense.
Wendy (23:00.662)
Right. then that's when they take Andrew away and they tell him he's done right after that challenge. said that their exact words is you didn't apply the tactics and the training that was explained to him. And for that reason, he's failed the course.
Again, I think he got very far in the course and I was surprised that they didn't tell him, job, you did a great job. Because when, I know they said that to Cody, right? I thought, why would you say that? Why would, right. Why would you say that to Cody and not say that to Andrew?
Lori (23:32.026)
Right, where they split that to Cody.
Lori (23:37.062)
Yeah, me too. was like, that turd.
Mm-hmm. Yeah, I thought the same thing. was like, I don't know what's going on with that.
Wendy (23:50.712)
So now the recruits are being held in stress positions to increase the physical and they're all dressed in hoods again and they're in a dark place and there's babies crying and just annoying situation. And again, we don't know how long exactly this is going on.
Lori (24:10.608)
Right, well I saw on the interview with Gia and Sean that they said that they would make them sit like crisscross applesauce and like keep their arms up and they had the hood on with the goggles and the ear.
Wendy (24:14.562)
Okay.
Wendy (24:31.726)
so they couldn't hear either.
Lori (24:33.18)
So they could only hear what was on there and they said it was head bumps, sorry. See? Menopause brain. Menopause brain. These things. So anyway, they had to listen to the crying baby noises. They said there was also like animals being tortured noises. And they said they had to sit there for, you know, most of the time they had to listen to that for a couple hours.
Wendy (24:36.454)
so it was like headphones.
Yeah.
Lori (25:02.936)
And so they would have to listen to it for like an hour. And then I don't know if you noticed when they were doing it, you saw some people were sitting and some people were standing. So every like hour or so, Gia said, when you just felt like you couldn't hold your arms up anymore and you couldn't stay in the position that you were in anymore, they would tell you to get up. And then you had to like stand up for a couple of minutes and stretch and then they put you right back down in that position. But you said that, you
Wendy (25:12.782)
Mm-hmm.
Lori (25:32.038)
they would only take them out and talk to them for like 15 minutes, but that was it. So most of the time, she said it was hours and hours and hours of the time that they had to sit and listen to the baby crying and animals being tortured.
Wendy (25:48.426)
Mm-hmm. Wow. Wow.
Lori (25:51.45)
Yeah. But they said they were, the girls were saying that by this time after being up so long, she was like, I was like the hell that, and she said there were points when she just kind of fell asleep and the, she was on reality and the guys were like, so crying babies is now your sleeping noise. And she's like, yeah, pretty much. But she said they were just so tired that
Wendy (26:13.294)
Yeah
Lori (26:20.045)
After a while you couldn't even hear it anymore. You would just, she was able to just block it out.
Wendy (26:22.818)
Now, it's funny, because that's what I was thinking. that's mentally, like think that's what I would do is just block it out. Just put my head someplace else, regardless of what's going on. Like once you hear it over, just put yourself someplace else. I mean, I that would be the only way to get through, yeah.
Lori (26:36.988)
Mm-hmm. Just go somewhere else. Yep.
Lori (26:45.266)
to get through it. Yeah.
Wendy (26:48.802)
So then they bring them all outside and they take the hoods off. And this is when they realize that Andrew's no longer there because the whole time they were there, they didn't know that he was gone. Then they have Gia and Brianna put sandbags over their heads and they're holding sandbags over their heads. And they have Sean and Cody crouching over holding the sandbags also. And they want Cody to talk because he didn't
Lori (26:58.129)
Mm-hmm.
Wendy (27:18.42)
do anything for the interrogation and he's still not talking and these women are still there like being tortured because he won't engage and he won't talk. So then they finally make him put his down and watch them and they say to him you're watching them suffering and you're like you're still not doing anything.
Lori (27:29.82)
Mm-hmm.
Lori (27:42.126)
No, because basically I don't think he really... I think Cody's the kind of... He only gives a shit about himself. And I don't even know him. The only thing I know about him is this show. And I got that, so...
Wendy (27:50.018)
Well, I mean, I agree with you. Right.
Wendy (27:58.466)
No, I totally agree with you.
Lori (27:58.898)
I don't think that it's going to.
bother him, you know what mean? One way or another. I think he had small moments of kindness, like when he helped Gia with her pack and blah, blah, blah. But I think when it came down to it, when it's him and somebody else, gonna, he'll always choose himself.
Wendy (28:05.164)
No, I don't think so either. then they...
Wendy (28:12.056)
Yeah.
Wendy (28:18.478)
Mm-hmm. I think you're right. I think you're 100 % right. So then he's eliminated. And like I said, the DS tells him that he should be proud because he did a great job. And he made it almost to the end. And I'm like, really? No, I don't think so. Now it's day 9 and 1101. So that's 1101 AM. And there's three recruits left. It's the three women, Brianna, Sean, and Gia.
Lori (28:33.19)
Yeah, really? I know. Yeah.
Wendy (28:50.006)
And now they're going to face the most final and terrifying part of the interrogation, being buried alive. I don't really think that they were buried. I know they called it buried alive, but they just put the wood on top of them. They were not buried alive.
Lori (29:01.202)
Yeah, I mean, there was, you could see light coming through and I was like, I was thinking to myself, you know what? After all this, I've been up for so many hours. You want to lay me down in some nice, cool mud and put that board over me with the sun off and I don't have to look at you people screaming at me and I could just lay here. I'm okay. I'm okay. Right? Sounds good to me. That's how I was thinking. I was thinking.
Wendy (29:04.575)
Yeah.
Wendy (29:16.448)
Right. Right.
Wendy (29:24.076)
Right. Yeah. It sounds good. Sounds good. Yep.
Lori (29:31.15)
Okay. Bye.
Wendy (29:33.942)
Right. So all they need to do is stay silent. This challenge, all they need to do is stay silent and never admit that they are military. Never admit. Never admit that they're military. So they do this with all of them. G is like the last one. And then all of a sudden she sits up like she's like, no, no, like don't put it down. And you could see she was terrified, but for whatever reason she dug deep and she just did it.
Lori (29:59.058)
Mm-hmm.
Wendy (30:02.99)
She just laid down and she did it.
Lori (30:05.328)
Yeah, she was saying in her interview, she said, you know what, I was really scared and I was like, my God, I am not up for another panic attack like the tunnels. She said, but I was just so tired. was just like, she was kind of just like, fuck it. She like laid back down. Yeah. So she said, she said exhaustion really helped her because she was just so tired that she was just like, you know what, whatever.
Wendy (30:22.016)
Right, she just did it. She just did it.
Wendy (30:32.014)
So then the next thing that happens is they keep opening and asking them again, are you military? And then when there's only 10 minutes left, they ask Brianna again. And she says, I lied, I'm here with special forces. I was like, no.
Lori (30:52.282)
I felt like that was part of the show.
Wendy (30:55.146)
I don't think it was. really
Lori (30:56.21)
I think it was part of the show. I do, I do! I think it was part of the show!
Wendy (30:59.615)
No!
Wendy (31:04.439)
So it's interesting, I was talking to my mom about this, I got her to watch this show and she said, I don't know why that girl couldn't wait another 10 minutes. I said she didn't know it was another 10 minutes, mom. Like she had no idea. She didn't know if could be another three hours. She didn't know when this test was gonna be over. She knew it was gonna be 10 more minutes. She could have waited. She was like, I never thought of that. I think it was real. I don't think it was, I think it was real. I really think that they,
Lori (31:13.49)
10 minutes, right? Right, how long it's gonna be.
Lori (31:23.826)
Right, right. Yeah, you're right, shit. That was going to be 10 minutes. Yeah.
You do?
Wendy (31:33.836)
Just kept, you know, when she's finally, she's like, whatever, yes, I lied. But again, if she knew it was 10 minutes, obviously she would have just hung it, you know, yeah, but there's no way she could have known because she didn't, there was no light for them. They didn't know when this was gonna end. They didn't have any idea of time or anything. You know, they were inside, outside, hoods on their heads, you know, they didn't know.
Lori (31:42.226)
what held out.
Lori (31:50.065)
Yeah, right.
Lori (31:54.096)
Right. Yeah.
Hoods off, it could have been laying there for hours, right?
Wendy (32:02.262)
Right. And then they ask Shawn Johnson again, and she's like, do you have anything to tell me? And she's like, no, nothing. Same goes for Gia, nothing. They keep asking her. They keep saying, no, sir, no, sir. And then all of a sudden, they're like, OK, you two, let's get out. And I really thought that they were going to tell Shawn that she failed.
but when they said that they both passed, I was like, that's good. didn't know, listen, I didn't know what the end game was. didn't know. It's not like a win or lose. It's like either you complete it or you don't. So everyone can complete it, obviously, but you know, by the nature of it, that's not really gonna happen. So the fact that they both completed it, I thought was awesome. I thought it was awesome that they both did it.
Lori (32:34.032)
Right, right.
No, or you don't. Right. Absolutely.
Lori (32:46.171)
Right.
Lori (32:50.95)
I thought it was really bad ass because they were like the smallest littlest things ended up to be like the two toughest because they're tiny. They're both really tiny girls.
Wendy (32:56.725)
Yep.
Wendy (33:00.439)
Yep.
Wendy (33:03.818)
They are both tiny. They are both tiny.
Lori (33:05.702)
But they're both powerhouses though. They're small but mighty kind of a deal. And Gia was saying on the interview that when they finally told them it's over, you passed. Like right before that, when they brought them out and took their hoods off, they were thinking to themselves, God, like what's next? She said we were, like when they first said it, they were both kind of confused. Like what? Like,
Wendy (33:08.99)
Mm-hmm. Yes.
Wendy (33:29.195)
Right.
Wendy (33:34.988)
Right, they didn't know.
Lori (33:35.352)
No, they didn't know they were so tired. They were just, they both of them were thinking, fuck, what do we got to do next? And then when they said it, they were kind of like, what? Confused, you know?
Wendy (33:47.438)
Yeah. And then I am so proud of both of them. Yeah. And Gia said her and Sean are going to be bonded for life. And I believe that they are going to be bonded for life.
Lori (33:52.102)
but they both did a really good job.
Awesome.
Lori (34:03.095)
yeah, yeah, yeah, I think they'll have a friendship. Well, you can't go through something like that with somebody and not, you know.
Wendy (34:08.908)
Yeah. Yeah. And I think, honestly, I think that she's a good, strong role model for Jaya.
Lori (34:15.93)
For her, absolutely. Absolutely. And I loved, and I think it was really good for Gia to see a normal, functioning, good relationship. That John and Andrew, like a really solid marriage, a solid relationship. I think that was awesome for her. At her age, you know,
Wendy (34:31.383)
Yes.
Lori (34:43.612)
her situation with Teresa aside for any young girl, I think it's really good to be exposed to a relationship like that.
Wendy (34:53.198)
I I agree.
Lori (34:54.756)
Especially at Gia's age, I think it's super formative and I think that she can look back on that and really know for herself, you know, this is what I want, like, and not settle for anything less because she's seen, she's experienced what a really great relationship is. That's great.
Wendy (35:17.09)
Yeah, no, I agree. I totally agree with you. The only thing I wish for her sake is that they could have ended this the week before BravoCon because Gia was just in BravoCon all this past weekend and it would have been so good for her to have all these accolades from everybody because they would have known that she would have been the one, you know? Like, you know, she was there with her uncle
Joe and Melissa and her aunt, like they were all getting along. And it was a good weekend for her. I just feel like if this information was out, it would have been even that much better for her, you know? But I'm, you know, I love this show and I can't, like I said, I can't wait for the next one. Yeah, I think it's really dependent on who they get, right?
Lori (35:58.662)
better. Right. Right.
Lori (36:06.672)
Yeah, hopefully it'll be as good.
Lori (36:12.07)
Absolutely, I think it's all depending upon the cast of characters.
Wendy (36:16.556)
Yeah. So we'll have to wait and see. So that's our recap for Special Forces. Anything else you want to talk about?
Lori (36:24.636)
Mm-hmm.
Lori (36:30.086)
Nope. You got anything?
Wendy (36:31.37)
Okay. And the only thing is it just came out today that Candy Burris from Real Housewives of Atlanta, who just got the Wife Time Achievement Award at BravoCon, announced that she was divorcing her husband, Todd, of 11 years. Sad. It is sad. She said that, you know, it was a hard decision to make and...
Lori (36:50.362)
that's sad.
Wendy (36:57.486)
They have two children together. They're going to focus on co-parenting and to give them their privacy. So my thoughts go out to her and her family. Candy is an awesome housewife. She's another one who's a powerhouse businesswoman entrepreneur. She's going for her EGOT. She's got a Grammy, a Tony, Emmys. What does she need?
She may actually, she may even have it. I'm not even sure. That's how powerful she is. So, you know, my thoughts and prayers are with her family.
Lori (37:29.49)
Right. Yeah, that's sad.
Wendy (37:33.452)
Yeah. So until next time, thank you for watching and listening. Please subscribe and give us five star reviews. Bye.
Lori (37:41.362)
Bye.
